So they’re worried that one of the several people in their home will somehow assault the resident with their co-workers around but apparently those convicted of theft can keep working? I wonder which person is more likely to re-offend in such a situation? My grandma’s ring is gone but at least that pedo didn’t move my couch!

Sarcasm from the comments after:

“Oh, thank goodness! Now I can feel safe when I leave my children unsupervised
around the people that come in to move my stuff! “

Florida sounds like a very hateful State. Every time I read about proposed laws like this, I think about the 60’s and the racial movement! Very ugly. We ban people from visiting parks, schools, beaches, libraries and the list goes on. We have even banned people from living in certain jurisdictions? Very scary.

Now, we have Florida pressing harder and harder on these people who are simply trying to survive! Illegal immigrants, murderers, gang members, prostitutes and drug dealers have more rights.

Florida is at the point that all RCs have no way to support themselves or their families if they even have any one left, well do not be surprised when things get way out of control, you have made it impossible for most all RCs to ever pay their debt or move on. The fire is surely going to burn hot.

This is a sad, sad story. Unlike European Countries who work to rehabilitate offenders and give them a chance, the US wants to destroy the lives of those who have already paid their debt to society. Very sad

Let the two time convicted felons with a grossly high recidivism rate work as residential moving men and THE PUBLIC IS OK WITH THAT? Nobody up in arms? Not even the stay at home moms? At the hands of these sometimes violent felons Somebody is going to get hurt here. Pssst.. it had already happened (many, many, many times).

I would certainly never work as a common mover however, I am offended for those who would!

Just more stupidity from the capital of stupidity – FLORIDA

Well I’m sure that most other states will follow suit. I’m almost certain that this bill already exist in TN because a year or so ago while on probation I had a few people mention that they will have to find new jobs if the company they worked for didn’t have clients and potential clients fill out a form acknowledging that a sex offender would be working at their home or business. But the more territory we allow them to take the more they will take…….

It would be so much easier if all these offenders had to wear something on their clothes, like a gold star, so that they could be identified.
