CA RSOL Meeting on November 16 – Los Angeles

California RSOL will hold its next monthly meeting on Saturday November 16 at the usual location, the ACLU building at 1313 W. 8th Street in Los Angeles.

The meeting will start at 10 am and cover general topics of interest, as well as specific issues pertinent at meeting time, in addition to offering invaluable opportunities to network with others affected by this issue, as well as activists and professionals. One topic already on the agenda is the expected decision on the “Godinez” case, which prohibits 290 Registrants from entering Orange County Parks, Beaches and Recreational Areas.

The meetings are restricted to registrants, friends and family and off-limits to media and government officials. There is no charge to attend.

SHOW UP, STAND UP, SPEAK UP.

This is an important meeting for all registrants and family members! We will be sharing information regarding our recent success in stopping the Halloween sign ordinance in the City of Orange, the new registration process in the City of Santa Ana and hopefully a positive decision in the Godinez case. Like always, there will be snacks to share and friends to meet. Hope to see you there!

my name is greg scott a 290 reg. and I will be there. I would hope that more than 100 people come to support this cause. thank you.

Make that one hundred and one. See you there.

I may have suggested this before, but someone in our group should be able to cull the list names and addresses from the Megan’s Law site and kick off a direct mail campaign inviting fellow registrants and families to attend. Many out there, for whatever reason, don’t know about this group.
Given the importance of our fight, that place should be standing room only with CCTVs in the lobby for the overflow crowd.

I would be suspicious of anything in the mail or email, unless I was sure of the source.

Don’t forget …this Saturday at ten…Los Angeles…thank you.

I’ll be there. finally not working on weekends anymore. found a real job, for now. hope they don’t run my background. I was close to food stamps and buying and RV and just dropping off the grid. Still, this is not easy.

Has anyone written Judge Weinstein to thank him at all? if you have not thanked him for his efforts, please do so now:

Yes, let’s all chip in and send out CA RSOL information to all the registrants on the list. don’t worry if they are suspicious or not. do it anyway! I’ll help.

I attended the meeting on Satirday and it was wonderful. I finally didn’t feel alone.
I will happily attend all future meetings and will help in any way I can. Horay for Janice and
All of you.

Thank you all for a great meeting yesterday. I want to do more. My life companion was impressed and wants to do more. I didn’t know what to expect, now I am very pleased.
