Let’s see if they get the five year enhancement for felonies. That will
be the test to see if the prosecutor has plans to run for elected office
in the future…

More power to the robbery victim who defended himself and validated the value of the 2nd Amendment. It does beg the question: did he legally own the gun? If so, how?

Not having a legal mind, but being an ex-felon, I’m not allowed to possess a firearm. I’m guessing that a felony reduction could possibly allow one to own a firearm. I think that the term “possess” is open to interpretation by LE, if it’s in your house, but belonging to a room mate, then do you possess a firearm? Needless to say, I’m glad he was able to defend himself and stand up to the threat, which is becoming a common occurrence for registered citizens.
We know that it wasn’t a hate crime though, because it is just fine and acceptable to hate RSO’s and when a house gets graffitied, tires get slashed, threats are made, jobs and housing denied, benefits withheld, and so on, that’s just coincidence, not hate according to most LE. Strange isn’t it…

Registrant with a gun….SURPRISE! bam bam bam.
Robber: “Ow Ow Ow..Aw shucks, you don’t play fair.”

Shouldn’t all registered sex offenders be allowed to get permits to carry guns? If rights are violated in regards to privacy shouldn’t the right to carry side-arms be exercised? Please give your opinion in this regard…

Registered citizens ought to have every right to defend themselves against people who would rob them or kill them. That should include being able to legally own a gun and ammo.

To me, gun control means: steady aim.

The way they run current registry laws causes the unintended effect of these laws being dangerous NOT ONLY for former sex offenders, but for law enforcement who come to the home of an embittered offender who may feel nothing to lose at shooting a police officer, but even a danger to VIGILANTES who use the registry to take the law into their own hands.

Apparently, these three intruders thought they could get away scott free in forcing their way into a former sex offender’s home and in attempting to extort money from the resident. They found out a little differently in this case. This former offender fought back. This should be a warning to future would-be vigilantes.
