Santa Clara County’s multi-agency human trafficking task force for the Super Bowl has been a success. The Denver Broncos rookie safety was questioned by San Jose police during a prostitution sting. The worlds oldest profession (that is legal in NV) has now become the urgent issue of Human Trafficking. So now they can include these prostitution cases in their Human Trafficking statistics to reap more government funding.

White House report says Internet is a ‘core utility’ just like electricity, running water, and sewers, the White House said.
A White House report says broadband Internet is a core utility people need to participate in modern society. – Interesting that the Whit House says all Americans need the internet, but the criminal justice system tries to ban Registered Citizens from using the internet.

The law says you must report all nick names, so why not use your Legislators name and title as a nick name.
I no longer feel wanted, welcome or accepted in America. You are denied hope with nothing to look forwards to.. the climate and environment has become too hostile where “I only care about the victims” reigns supreme. I am alloted less than zero inner peace without any semblance of security or peace of mind.
Why go to such to such obsessive lengths to “protect” children when they are just going to die anyway? This is the sad reality and hard truth of LIFE. Guess what? Nobody gets out alive. Further, to idolize, coddle and glorify children’s safety at the expense of throwing a person’s life under the bus just so some errant worrywart mother can have some fleeting psychological comfort in knowing who lives down the road is arrogant and selfish!
As if the sure passage of IML wasn’t bad enough, John Walsh is going to “name names” and throw a hissy fit to get the AWA reauthorization and expansion in the coming months – this will be the death blow.
“Whenever something terrible happens, people reflexively demand that government do something. This impulse almost always leads to bad laws and the loss of liberty.” — Ron Paul
One of the ways we could try to fix the registry, and make it how it was first intended is to change the way so that it reads that
“the registry and all subsequent restrictions will be reserved for people convicted of (insert list of crimes here) AND after psychological evaluation are found to be classified as a sexually violent predator or highly likely to reoffend. Even so to ensure the registry, which is one of our harshest punishments, is applied properly and only to people who’s crimes warrant such action shall be determined on a case by case basis. The weight of this determination is gravely heavy and shall only be handed down for the most depraved, and dangerous persons around us.”
I think that looks pretty good, but I am certainly open to suggestions and constructive criticism. Hopefully the right person could read this and choose to fix the current laws using this as a template, or possibly making new law all together to replace the old.
Just when you thought the government could not get any more effed up than it already is, can you imagine if your kids had to prove which bathroom they were qualified to use by letting school officials verify their genitalia? That’s a law proposed by one sick, twisted POS of a law maker in Virginia, Mark Cole.
Creepy Virginia Toilet Proposal Could Require Genital Inspections, Critics Fear
While one hand of government pretends to work to protect kids, the other hand works overtime to screw them up.
Just watched the latest Republican presidential debate. Rubio said that Obama is undermining America on a global stage. But, that is precisely what Republican Chris Smith is doing with IML. Chris Christie said that Rubio is playing truancy by not being present to vote in the Senate. Exactly what happened by suspending the rules for IML. The non-frontrunner Republicans are spelling out their own failures, when they go into attack mode. Tonight, Bernie Sanders wil be on SNL. I will be watching and if SNL does another skit on low level sex offenders, I can watch it live this time.
On international travel to mexico, why can’t a registered citizen take a cab from san diego to tiajuana airport to his mexico destination? the green notice is coming from the us government not mexico government. When you get back do the same, when asked where you have been just say shopping locally, use drivers license and birth certificate for ID. My nieces hubsand has drug felonies and he does it..

Just a question if anyone knows. I am a 290 registrant for a non-contact offense, off of parole. My son is almost school age. We are looking at putting him in a charter / home-school. We want to go tour the facility. There are also certain events where I would go to see him, plays/awards/ etc. I have read that as a 290 registrant I have to get permission to be on school grounds and that the school official notifies all parents that a sex offender may be on site and when and where. Is this true? Do I have to get permission? Or I also read that because I have a child attending the school, I have a legal purpose to be there so I do not need to get permission and no notifications will be made. Is this true. Any advice or thoughts? I cant believe that a parents conviction can so negatively impact their child and their childs education. Thanks for any input.

Can anyone tell me if you know – is a misdemeanor conviction of PC647.6 eligible for a COR? I read the statute but it is very confusing to me. If it is eligible, how long after the conviction date must one wait before applying for a COR?
Thank you!
Interesting issue going on in Texas.
More than 20 Texas towns repeal sex offender residency law
“DALLAS – A broad legal challenge has led more than 20 towns in Texas to ease restrictions over the last few months on where sex offenders can live instead of fight a costly battle in court.
While other states, including neighboring Oklahoma, continue to push offenders away from some neighborhoods, about 45 Texas towns received letters in November from the group Texas Voices for Reason and Justice demanding they repeal residency restrictions. The nonprofit, which is critical of sex offender laws it considers ineffective, also has sued 14 towns and has a powerful ally — the state attorney general’s office.”

New York in a Panic
“Thousands of NY state sex offenders due to disappear from public registry
The names of thousands of New York State sex offenders are due to come off a public registry, prompting demands for a change in the law.
State law requiring Level 1 offenders to report their whereabouts to the registy for a 20-year period was up Jan. 1, News 12 Long Island reports. The law took effect in 1996.”

I understand that this post does not fit well into the mission of the “R” in RSOL, so I will keep it as brief as possible and just let a discussion form if there is one worth forming.
I am sick and tired of being on the defensive all the time. We always seem to fighting to change laws that have passed or to try to block laws that will probably be passed.
I think we need to go on the offensive. Not violent or physical or any illegal offensive, but brash, offensive types of actions. We should demand anyone who sponsors a bill that applies to sex offenders take the sex offender polygraph exam and have the results made public, if they refuse we launch a massive social media effort to question why they would be scared to take the test. I would like to start ruining careers, not just the politicians, but their families as well. Many of us have had our spouses fired for being married to us, it is time to make the families of politicians pay the price by ruining careers. If the email law passes next time, we need to launch a script that allows us to create millions of email addresses in seconds and then delete them in seconds and send these reports to local jurisdictions. We need to plan and cancel international travel plans weekly. We need to write to the leaders of other nations and request asylum. We need to get our photos taken with candidates for public office and then a week before the elections, post all over social media how that candidate “panders” to sex offenders. I just hate being on the ropes all the time and I think a few upper cuts aimed at those who constantly aim at me are due.
Again, I know the mission of this group is not to go on the offensive, especially on a personal level. but it is really starting to feel personal to me.

The attacks just keep coming.
I do not hear anything from lawmakers, LE or victims groups about victim reconciliation programs? I did this with my victims in 1996, they said, “they have moved on with no issues with complete healing”.
I do so love it when the real criminals are exposed.

I have a question. Does Europe have this penchant for using background checks before hiring people for just about anything, even for such jobs as mowing a lawn or serving food at a fast food restaurant? Anyone from Europe or having applied for jobs in Europe? Just wondering what the cultural norm is about hiring people there.
I just read this horrible and heart breaking story: http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/03/americas/mexico-baby-murdered/
It’s amazing that CNN, and presumably the general public, recognize the humanity and tragedy in this story.
Of course, the poor father who was brutally murdered would have been a sex offender and a dangerous predator had he been an American (in many states at least), for he is 24 years old, and his wife is 17. They had a child, so the proof of sex is there.
Hypocrites.
You took off the comments rating feature. Good. I tried to avoid it, but I was starting to write to please people, not express my own unique opinion. If someone disagrees with you, take the time to send reply with a reason. Let’s have real dialogue here, not a popularity contest.
I posted this in Janice’s Journal, but I might as well post it here also. Very good news for us!

Antonin Scalia is dead. If the registry ever went up to the supreme court again, this man would have been our greatest man. Now, with hopefully Obama appointing a more liberal judge, the court can swing more in our favor. It sucks when somebody you love dies, so I don’t want to gloat over this man’s death here. But believe me, I won’t be shedding any tears for this horrible man.
Supreme court Justice Scalia dead at age 79 today.
Scalia dead.
I don’t know how he voted on our issues, but this could make room for someone who could vote in our favor downstream.
You hear that Obama? It’s not too late to make my two votes for you not a total waste.

Incredibly shocking news. Justice Scalia has passed away.
http://www.sfgate.com/news/us-world/article/Senior-Associate-Justice-Antonin-Scalia-found-6828930.php
Anton Scalia has died of natural causes. This changes the make up of the court, assuming the Senate allows a confirmation hearing to proceed.
