NY: Police Reportedly Claim a Brooklyn Teen Consented to Sex in Custody. That’s Impossible.

[theintercept.com]

On September 28, attorney Michael David filed notice of a claim against the New York Police Department, the City of New York, and two unnamed police officers, referred to as John and Jim Doe. These plainclothes cops, alleged the claim, “brutally sexually assaulted and raped” his 18-year-old female client. David told me that within a day, he needed to amend the claim: The officers had been identified by police in the press as Brooklyn South narcotics detectives Richard Hall and Edward Martins.

“What was strange,” said David, “was that within only two or three hours of me filing, there was a story leaked to the New York Post saying that the detectives were claiming that the sex they had with my client in custody was consensual. They hadn’t even been named yet.” The attorney told me that he believes “the police were trying to get ahead of the story.”

Yay for more kid-glove treatment of police wrong doing for something that a private citizen would have already been curb stomped for. Yet people still give Kaepernick and others crap for their peaceful protest trying to bring to light exactly this kind of injustice.

That’s impossible?
I don’t think it’s impossible. Especially if the girl in a speed freak, sex addict, or if she’s been drinking too much or is just a totally nasty person that consented to sex for the sole purpose of discrediting these cops. Yes; I think it’s very possible she instigated and then consented. Were the 2 cops really stupid when they went for it? You bet! weather she consented or not; their actions were really stupid. They shot themselves in the foot when they acted on their impulses, for sure. Were reading a story that involves 3 really sick people.

So in New York you can handcuff and detain someone, have sex with them and it’s consensual?
If so, then I would love to know how I am a sex offender because my wife was banging her son and instead of killing them, I kept my mouth shut.
Oh.. because I am not a cop.
Remember people – A gun and a badge does not make a stranger your friend.
Especially in New York. Especially in New York if you are an 18 year old woman.

“The attorney told me that he believes ‘the police were trying to get ahead of the story.’”

Absolutely! There are people wearing badges and carrying guns in this country that are nothing more than jackbooted thugs getting away with rape and murder. Which police department was it that had a child pornography ring… St. Louis? Some of the BIGGEST purveyors of child pornography get a government paycheck. It does not surprise me in the least to see the NYPD attempting to get ahead of a lawsuit that alleges the rape of an 18-year-old girl by two of it’s officers.
