That is an outstanding site, and every statistic on there refutes the use of the registry. Thank you for posting that. I really whish we could get that posted publicly so more people could see it. Still, so many people hear the word sex offender and assume it is a kidnapper and rapist. They think everyone on the registry is a danger. This is very educational. Thanks again.
All of these outcomes and facts fly in the face of states (The people’s) stated intent behind SOR. The people’s intent was to extract retribution and they got it for all the good it did. I had to Scoff when Barbara Mikulski made the claim that offenders presented a serious threat to national security. If that were the case America would have collapsed long ago. The real threat sex deviants brought to the forefront was the threat to the political security of the two parties. Exposing them as being unable to prevent much of anything bad.
Mikulski a fervent democrat, and supported by the army of state workers unions seized the opportunity to expand their numbers of cronies on the state’s dole. You can bet the house that the vast majority of SO R agents vote D. In her time in office, the budgets expanded faster than her waistline and that’s saying a lot. Rs were no damn better supported by war hogs and our phony religious right.
What gets me is the fact that 90% of kids are abused by someone they know has absolutely no effect on the laws. It’s ignorant.
