AUS: Child Sex Offender Register Could Become Reality After Coalition’s Shock Win

Following Coalition’s shock election victory, a public sex offender register posited by the political alliance in Australia could soon become reality.

Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton suggested in a January news release that information about the crimes of pedophiles be added to a national child sex offender registry—including the perpetrators’ names, aliases, and photos.

“It would have a strong deterrent effect on offenders and ensure that parents are not in the dark about whether a registered sex offender has access to their children,” Dutton said at the time. Full Article

Deterent? That is an affirmative statement that the registry is punitive.

This of what we are now seeing is nothing new. The public registry is not going to do the public any good but bad with public shaming and then make a justification for this matter. If you all recall in this Jesus story of when an adulterous woman was taken out by a mob of people to be stoned for her crime, Jesus said “let the person who’s done nothing wrong throw the first stone” the mob then dropped their stones and walked away and then jesus said to the woman “go and sin no more!”

“I can die happy, this is the only reason I got into politics,” Hinch said of Dutton’s January announcement of the proposal for a public sex offender registry.”

1. Nobody dies happy. Idiot!
2. Don’t flatter yourself by overselling your worth.

Surprise win they called it?
Not in my opinion. Far cry from the first time the Conservative \ evangelical right has utilized moral turpitude to gain or maintain political power and authority. The attack is one of the oldest ad hominem tactics in the book of man. Only the modern world now included electronic database \software into the mix. Government is collecting data, on everyone and all are not bad actors or even felons. Not related, not correlated you say? Hah! Look who built the largest database in America and it was not in DC. OOPS found its home in Saratoga springs, Utah. Yes The same bunch engaged in IML’s not so “passive” activity. Was there ever really anything passive about internet broadcasts? No.

The outcome of such policymaking renders the not so readily apparent, RE:Machina, whereby humans are enslaved to database machine maintenance lawfully. Funny how ” personal private information ” stored upon government database suddenly became THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
