Restorative Action Alliance Officially Launches – Join us on Sept 23 for our first meeting

[restorativeactionalliance.org – 9/22/20]

My name is Amber Vlangas, Executive Director for the Restorative Action Alliance (RAA).

As both a survivor of sexual harm, and part of a family who has been severely impacted by both the criminal legal system and public registries, I am uniquely immersed in the challenges we all face.

I am excited to announce that New York Action Alliance and other northeast regional groups from CT and NJ have combined their collective efforts to become the Restorative Action Alliance, made up of volunteer leaders from varied backgrounds and walks of life.

Restorative Action Alliance, Inc., is a non-profit organization passionate about addressing two categories of harm – while seeking restorative and transformative solutions to make people and communities whole again. Together, we work to address:

1) Primary prevention of sexual harm.

2) Ineffective approaches that our criminal legal system utilizes to address sexual harm – such as public registries.

If you agree with this mission and want to see positive change in this area – we invite you to JOIN US on Wednesday, September 23rd at 4:00 pm Pacific Time, 7:00 pm Eastern Time for our KICK-OFF meeting on ZOOM!

Visit https://www.restorativeactionalliance.org to learn more about us and join the meeting.

Those without access to the internet should reach out to Amber at 401-297-8531 for a call-in number.
