Same story as always…people just want the guy to either be locked up forever, or die ‘somewhere else besides here.’ Are there any actual numbers on how many times an old man sexually assaulted other old men or women in a retirement home or community? I’d image that such incidents wouldn’t be very prolific, given how drastically libido and physical prowess diminish after a certain age, but I could be wrong. It’d be like calling a toothless, scrawny, lethargic, arthritic, half blind, half deaf, wheezing lion ‘just as dangerous now as he ever was before’. Fact is though, once you’ve been branded with that ‘sex offender’ label, the overwhelming majority of americans simply view you as a literal ‘monster’ for the rest of your life, and nothing more. I really do hope the guy can have a bit of peace and comfort for what time he may have left on this earth…just as much as I hope his victims were able to move beyond the past and have fulfilling lives as well. It’s always fun reading the comments on youtube, the biggest gripe being ‘why should he get to live in a house, when others have to live in apartments or out on the street’. Demonstrates just how little the masses know about the actual effects of the registry, and all that comes with it.

Honestly did we as a society not learn in from the 100ad-1970’s that banishing the unwed mother from our village with pitchforks in the middle of the night only to be hungry and homeless was not the right thing to do? In the end this type of bad behavior did nothing to stop 100s of thousands of other unwed mothers or their babies that followed to suffer the same fate of homeless and hunger…did it?

no probation just register release from state facility no where to go i have grand kids visit me that kind of person cant live here , but wait the US constitution says he can, hahahahahahahah

Outrage,
I see some scotus judges are facing it too. The first line of Alitos leaked draft says it all as to why. Like “a redeprivation hearing” “morality ” is a word not found in the constitution. Instead the founders left it to Congress to determine “right” and “wrong.” It is important to remember not all of the founders supported the notion of a separation of church and state. This reality is no different today.
I thinks it is quite impossible for some judges to make that cognitive separation as reflected in so many Court’s opinions.

This points to the heart of the problem with the Registry. It’s too much information for the community to handle to the point it just agitates residents into an irrational frenzy and at the same time not enough information to realize he’s no longer a threat.

The Registry has and will always be the single most societal disruptive waste of money this government has ever produced.
