After months of city council consideration of the issue of sex offender residency restrictions, Englewood still has such restrictions, but the council relaxed the restrictions and included an amendment allowing offenders currently living in the city to remain. Full Article

Is this real life? I mean seriously. They allow existing registrants to stay, but have restrictions for new ones? What on Earth does that accomplish? Either you allow ALL or you ban ALL. You cannot pass a fake law like this which is absolutely useless. They clearly can see that what they are passing is a complete joke for public safety, so they make a ‘compromise’. You do NOT make a compromise when you are convinced that you’re doing something for public safety. Are adults making up these laws or children? What a joke and a disgrace of human intelligence if nothing else.
