The Appropriations Committee of the California Assembly will consider Senate Bill 145 (SB 145) on August 14. The hearing will begin at 9 a.m. in Room 4202 of the State Capitol.
“During that hearing, the Appropriations Committee will consider more than 100 bills,” stated ACSOL Executive Director Janice Bellucci. “Because the hearing will not include public testimony, ACSOL is not requesting registrants and their supporters to attend this hearing.”
The Appropriations Committee will consider the most recent version of SB 145, approved by the Public Safety Committee, which no longer includes any reference to residency restrictions. If the Appropriations Committee passes SB 145, the bill will proceed to the floor of the Assembly where a vote could be taken as early as September.
