ACSOL May 16 Phone Meeting

Please join me and ACSOL President Chance Oberstein, a criminal defense attorney, for our “monthly” meeting to be held as a telephone conference call.

The conference call will be on Saturday, May 16 at 10 am Pacific Time (1:00 Eastern) and will last from 2 to 3 hours.

Topics of conversation will include information about COVID-19 and its impact upon registrants and their families as well as the Tiered Registry and other current topics as well as recent court decisions and pending legal actions throughout the nation.

You can let the moderator know that you wish to ask a question by pressing 5* on your phone (i.e., the “5”, then the “*”). The conference call system should tell you that your virtual “hand” is raised, and will note this on the moderator’s switchboard. If you press 5* a second time, your hand will be lowered, and the moderator will no longer see that you wish to ask a question. Pressing 5* a third time will raise your hand again, and so on.

Unfortunately, the switchboard does not indicate the order in which callers press 5*, so please be patient while waiting to ask a question.

Hello, ACSOL crew,

A lot of organizations and businesses are slowly reopening, with the agreement between owners and customers that all persons involved wear facial masks and keep at a distance of 6 feet. With that being said, is it possible to resume physical meetings with such agreement implemented? What do you think about this?

Wait, I totally don’t understand any of this. Are the people on this site arguing against the usage of a sex offender registry? Everyone here talks and seems like convicted rapists. You do not deserve the right to ever live a normal life again after you are convicted of a sex crime. What part of a sex offender registry is unconstitutional?
