A San Jose police officer was arrested Thursday and charged with indecent exposure after he allegedly was caught masturbating in a family’s home while he was responding to a disturbance call.
Officer Matthew ____, 32, was arrested Thursday and will be arraigned on a misdemeanor indecent exposure charge on June 22 at 9 a.m. in the Hall of Justice, according to a Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office news release. If convicted, Matthew could face a year in jail and be placed on the sexual offender list for a decade. He is on paid administrative leave from the police department. Matthew has been on the force for four years.
Clearly this officer has an uncontrollable addiction to masturbation, but I hear he’s really trying to beat it.
Welcome to the club, Mathew!
WTF this dude is on meth or something lol
“To protect and serve”, huh? 🙄😩
Sad situation for all. 🙁
Obviously, this man has serious personal issues that need to be addressed. Sometime following the knee-jerk expression of moral outrage for his inappropriate actions (certainly he’ll lose his job, and rightfully so), compassion and humane treatment should be extended to him, as he is a human being. I hope that he receives the needed professional help and guidance so that he never again repeats this behavior. I believe that the majority of us (including myself) had unaddressed issues that led to our ‘acting out’. I believe that this guy is no different. And let’s not judge this man too harshly just because he chose to be in a profession that is not always that popular. If he was an electrician doing work in someone’s house, would you view him somewhat differently? This would not have made the news if he were not a cop. (I am not former law enforcement by the way. Nor a “cop lover”. Far, far, far from it). Let he who has not sinned…etc
SJPD has had internal issues with their officers for yrs. Corruption, excessive force, misconduct, you name it. They are paid a ridiculously high salary and think they are above reproach.
Something about this story seems incomplete. Parts of the story are missing IMO. IF you or your family are jammed up on some domestic beef seems like accusing the cop of wrongdoing could be used as leverage. According to the story, a brother was supposed to be wearing an electronic monitor (leg bracelet likely) but it was left at the scene. This is a crime in itself and if the family was being questioned about possibly assisting in its unlawful removal, or a delay in reporting it being removed, culpability could be attached via “aid and abet” or similar statute. Let us wait an see.
Rhetorical question: How has the Registry helped or protected the public in any way from this former officer’s behavior?
That’s going to be an awkward registration appointment.
Especially because San Jose lasts for 3-4 hours
Another article I saw that he had a bit of a blood alcohol level. So obviously he had/has internal problems other than just that particular jones.
I guess he’ll be keeping company with that Long Beach cop, with 26 years on the forest, who recently accepted a federal plea deal after he was busted last year for felony CP
I’m in a quandary as to whether I should be laughing or crying right now…
