CA: 140+ arrested in massive California child sex crimes sweep

Source: ktla.com 9/14/22

In a span of just seven days, law enforcement agents in California arrested 141 people in a wide-ranging crackdown on child sex predators, authorities announced Wednesday.

The operation, dubbed “Protect the Innocent,” involved 64 agencies across five California counties.

“The goal of Operation Protect the Innocent was to conduct investigations and arrests by utilizing (CyberTips) received, identifying suspects for arrest, and contacting individuals on probation and/or parole,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release.

From Sept. 6 through Sept. 12, members of the L.A. Internet Crimes Against Children task force contacted and identified hundreds of people who are either registered sex offenders or identified as suspects wanted for arrest.

Warrants were served at homes in L.A., Orange, San Bernardino, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, resulting in 141 arrests.

Among those arrests, 110 were for child pornography-related charges. Others included sexual abuse of a child, statutory rape, pimping, and parole violations.

So. California multi-agency sweep results in the arrest of 141 child predators – New Santa Ana

The goal of Operation Protect the Innocent was to conduct investigations and arrests by utilizing (CyberTips) received, identifying suspects for arrest, and contacting individuals on probation and/or parole,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release.”

From Sept. 6 through Sept. 12, members of the L.A. Internet Crimes Against Children task force contacted and identified hundreds of people who are either registered sex offenders or identified as suspects wanted for arrest.”

During the Operation, the LAPD and affiliate law enforcement agencies also conducted compliance checks on 290 Penal Code (PC) – Requirement to Register as Sex Offender, with a nexus to internet crimes.”

Has anyone heard of cybertips.org? I hope they had more to go on than that. It appears they had their targets picked out.

Interesting also that compliance checks go beyond mere address verification.

I REALLY, REALLY doubt there were hundreds of registered sex offenders that were arrested for predatory actions towards children on the internet!
There were maybe a couple, or even less chance, possibly a few.
Almost all of them (if not all of them) were parolees who got access to a computer and were looking to get hooked up with a young girl, and it is THIS kind of ‘balloon journalism’ that disgusts me.
Pump up the story so it looks real big, but on the inside it’s nothing but air.

This entire “article” reads like a headline. There are no facts. No base. Nothing. Typical for KTLA. What a stupid story!!!

Meantime, big boys are smashing little boys heads into walls and others are buying fentanyl in local parks to die of overdose on the school’s bathroom floor.
Good to know cops have their priorities in order because heaven knows looking at CP is a far greater offense than child murder.

Operation “protect the innocent ..So is it innocent until proven guilty or guilty until proven innocent. Guess one seldom gets it mixed up or are we all “Along for the Ride” in this innocent project. Guess operation cyber sweep can even bring down a constitution or are they authorities trained to deceive many today.. Guess games do change when one plays operation with a shadow.

Note, still got to use, “predator”. These clowns love that lie. They make a lot of money from that lie. Switch back to RSO for a moment to reenforce RSO = Predator idea. If here were 1% of the, ” Child sex predators” these fecal clowns claimed, every child in the US would be preyed on like twice a week. But hey, they’re making money, and using fear to drive a political agenda that will make them more.

I wonder how many, “cyber tips” were, “cyber BS”? Just targeting a PFR for police harassment. That could have been me. Anyone of my neighbors could have, “Cyber lied” up a storm about me, and the goon squad would have come beat down my door. Oh, I’m getting arrested, they’ll invent a reason, it’s not hard to lie about us. Everyone is so willing to believe anything you say about the, ” predators”.

I do however have to admit, they went all out for this little installment of, “Crime Control Theater”. It’s America’s favorite reality TV show. 64 agencies over 5 counties. If you’re not familiar with SoCal, lemme tell you, that is a lot of geography to use as a stage.

Yes this is made for TV. Interesting that it’s almost all porn. Stay out of trouble, people!

Who is surprised? I predicted this behavior a few weeks ago in another post here. It is an election year! The political class uses law enforcement for their own security. More and more they use the DDI to do it. Illinois recently moved to release thousands of their incarcerated, but you can bet they’ll be rounded up again too. My County (in WI) elects a new Sheriff every six years and this past month we elected a new one. It’s not unusual to see registered persons not on P&P being checked up on or hauled in for a photo just after the Sheriff takes office.

I wonder how many of the (supposed) 110 CP charges are against probationers or parolees who had school pics of their own kids.

The math doesn’t add up. “[T]ask force contacted and identified hundreds of people who are either registered sex offenders or identified as suspects wanted for arrest,” yet only 141 arrests. Question is how many of those registered sex offenders were actually arrested? Because from the article, one could infer that if “hundreds” of sex offenders were “contacted,” with only 141 arrests (without the article specifying how many of those 141 arrests were “Registered Sex Offenders”), then that implies that hundreds of people labeled as Registered Sex Offenders were unnecessarily harassed.

Shallow, mainstream media, “journalism.”

In other words, Fake News.

Yet this is exactly the type of propaganda that the sheep and masses feed off of.

No wonder society is going to Shit.

So basically they made a porn sweep ( the easiest offense to monitor ) and padded it with a few other arrests. The CP charges were almost 80% of arrests. They needed that to make the #s bigger or else the would have had about 20 arrests, which likely is not that high considering the population involved. And since when is a CP arrest suddenly labeled as a child predator. A little over dramatic as usual.

I had one curiosity that the LE did not address to the media. I was just curious how many of those people were people who re-offended vs first time caught offenders.

But if someone is abusing a child or pimping, then maybe that person needs to be arrested to put a stop to that behavior.

I suspect nearly all of these were probation/parole violations. It’s odd the state is admitting “yeah, we don’t do much when a guy stops showing up to his parole officer, but once a year we might make a hundred arrests.”

I also find it funny that law
enforcement are the only people still using the word “cyber” in 2022.

Actually many of you are right. Of course I’m not gonna believe every Tom, Dick, or Harry on here. Is it all about marketing, all about a database, or all about overcoming another? Wow talk about cyber tips, cyber abuse, or even a threat to afflict. Government taking down another with a deceitful little girl lost story with a sexual come on. Guess many on here have not read the bible in a long time. Maybe they have I cannot judge. While CA may be a whole different scene as compared to other states or even FL. How many more states doing these registry ordeals have taken a person down to their lowest level. Talk about murder she wrote this is deception they (government) wrote. I’m just glad PA ruled this sex registry unconstitutional.

The plea deals they instill to many are a de-fusion type of tactic. Using unjust judgement in this deceptive ordeal is a bit over the top in this scheme type game. So how many still go to WAR to save another when all flesh is sinful. Government is just using a sin tactic to cover their pride in much of this data type of triangle. In fact one can find all the data they need in the bible. Sure man can predict many things but why do you think the bible says “Let God be true and every man a liar. Maybe one should be talking about a better justice system instead of a machine induced justice system. Facebook, some DDI one wouldn’t give two cents for it as its just marketing con type scheming, or was that the intent all together.

“Cyber Tips” is just a polite euphemism for being a tattle-tale or a rat. And THAT, people, is exactly how John Walsh accumulated his wealth on AMW. Also, this is how the NCMEC operates:..”Cyber Tips” reporting CP which launches the domino effect that keeps the registry bloated. Now you know why they’re always fear mongering about the registry. They use it to justify their funding and expansion!

Normally if this was off the news stand ! it would be at the bottom of the parrot cage by now!

Yeah here in Southern California back in 2007 I was followed around by two plain clothes detectives for seven days Before they decided to actually make contact with me by doing a compliance check, it’s a long story about how I found out they were following me, too long to post but let’s just say I remember their faces when they came to my door.
They were part of the SAFE TASK FORCE here in Southern California, people think I’m paranoid all the time or negative about my situation but if they went through one day of the physical and mental abuse law-enforcement has put on me, they’d be a little jaded too.

If 64 agencies can’t find 141 people they’ve been trolling for AT LEAST 7 days (probably more like 7 months) then their pay should be docked. Let’s take a closer look at this “wide-ranging crackdown on child sex predators.”

“From Sept. 6 through Sept. 12, members of the L.A. Internet Crimes Against Children task force contacted and identified hundreds of people who are either registered sex offenders or identified as suspects wanted for arrest.”

So out of hundreds they only arrested 141 and 110 of those were for child pornography-related charges. Related how? The arrests were skimmed over for affect. Make it alarming!

“Others included sexual abuse of a child, statutory rape, pimping, and parole violations.”

So how many were actually new contact offenses? Who knows?

Maybe it’s just a Missing Kids advertisment. Its propaganda is suffering.

What is a cybertip?

NCMEC’s CyberTipline is the nation’s centralized reporting system for the online exploitation of children. The public and electronic service providers can make reports of suspected online enticement of children for sexual acts, child sexual molestation, child sexual abuse material, child sex tourism, child sex trafficking, unsolicited obscene materials sent to a child, misleading domain names, and misleading words or digital images on the internet.
