An undercover operation conducted by Metro police and various other organizations resulted in 18 arrests, police said.

On Dec. 1 and 2, 18 men were arrested after undercover agents posed as juveniles online.

According to police, all 18 were booked in the Clark County Detention Center. They each face multiple charges, including luring a minor with a computer to engage in sexual acts and attempted sexual assault with a victim under 14.

And probably not a one of them was a registrant.
The registry has failed once again to protect children and prevent crime.

The undercover operation was conducted by the Nevada Internet Crimes Against
Children Task Force and the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force, and included members of the FBI, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Henderson Police, North Las Vegas Police, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, and the Nevada Attorney General.”

That many agencies to run a bait and switch sting. Your tax dollars at work… smh

I wonder how many minors the undercover agent spoke to while posing as a minor themself?

Uhhhhh….

I’m not ok with adults trying to hook up with under 14 year olds over the net. Not ok with me.

I’m also not OK with cops doing these stings, for a few reasons…
1: False sense of safety. Idiotic parents will think that all is well, because the cops are catching the, “Predators”. Idiots…
2: Maintains the illusion that all that attempt to hook up are “Predators”. They aren’t…
3: Maintains the illusion that teens aren’t on the net looking for hook ups….they are.
4: Does absolutely nothing to actually protect children from people that would actually harm them. Catching these 18 guys in no way improves safety. There are thousands of people that would be more than happy to hook up with a teen on the net 24x7x365. 18 less is trivial.
5: Gives Americans an excuse to not to address the real issues.
a: There are adults that are not, “Predators”, but still would like to hook up with a teen.
b: There are plenty of teens that would love to hook up with a person old enough to be a parent.
c: The vast majority of these arrangements are successful, and sometimes they go very badly.

Once again, America has chosen to fail completely doing things they way we want to, rather than succeeding in ways we don’t like. Once again, the Means will justify the Ends…no matter how many lies we have to make up about what those, “Ends” are!

We’ve seen so many …. so, so many… of these “stings”. Honestly, I’m surprised that there are still any individuals out there who are unaware that these operations are constantly being conducted, seemingly everywhere, seemingly all the time. 😖🙄

And I am 100% certain that law enforcement agencies absolutely love these operations which allow them to hold big press conferences and blast out on all their social media the amazing job they’re doing (supposedly) keeping children safe. 🤮

Shameful. While Fentanyl is killing teens everyday, this is what these agencies choose to do with their time ? While conducting this sting operation that protects nobody, other teens were hooking up successfully and several hundred teens died of drug overdoses. …

Well, by looking at the photos , it seems to me that if you are a natural blonde, you won’t have any problems in Las Vegas……..🤣

TF Air Force OSI getting involved in civilian law enforcement undercover operations? I thought that was illegal? Wasn’t that the issue with a Florida sting that got thrown out by an appeals court?
