ID: The Idaho Children’s Trust Fund says prevention is more important than focusing on penalties for offenders

Source: idahonews.com 4/3/23

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Many children in Idaho will be the victims of abuse and/or neglect. The Idaho Children’s Trust Fund says one in eight Idaho children will be the victim of sex abuse.

Rather than focusing on penalties for offenders, Idaho Children’s Trust Fund Executive Director Roger Sherman says the focus should be on prevention.

He says, “we as a community need to get behind all of the parents to provide positive work to provide the kind of skills folks need to give people the kind of support and the kids the kind of support.”

Wow, some common sense. This will quickly get swept under the rug.

I like to see the word “Prevention” which is a pre-action.

However, this is all well and good as long as the theories of child s#xual abuse that persons like John Walsh push are not emphasized such as “Stranger Danger” etc which is pure nonsense.

Pedo centrism at its best. But its phony as it is miss placed. Neglect is by far the greatest offense to a child’s future. That includes the denial of their own human sexuality. Note sexual abuse was used in the title and not neglect. Idaho ( not quite 2million people) is predominantly rural white and neo Christian so yes they need such programs because they neglect by denial their children’s sexuality. They pay the price of their homogeneity. I’d love to debate this fact face to face with ED Sherman.
Let me author a letter to him proposing such a debate!. If you want to accept his prescription as different from the intent behind SOR, thee be fooled.

FOCUS ON THE ADULTS, the kids will then be fine. That was the key to longevity President Washington understood. Keep state authority out of child rearing they just make things worse. That’s how you raise psychos. Some young punks neeeeeeed their assess kicked early on by dad. Pedo centrists think a job experience is bad for a kid.
