Later this week, August 30 (29) – September 1, the National RSOL Conference will take place in Los Angeles at the Westin Hotel near LAX. This year’s conference is hosted by California RSOL. The conference will feature presentations and lectures by the foremost experts in the field and offers an unprecedented opportunity for networking with others interested in and affected by the subject. For a preview of planned events, please feel free to peruse the program of scheduled events. Admission to the conference includes a concert (reserved for conference attendees) by Larissa Stow & Shakti Tribe on Saturday evening.
There will be a banquet and plenty of opportunity to network with professionals and advocates. Do not miss this amazing opportunity! Please see the program for more details.
Hope to see you there. SHOW UP, STAND UP, SPEAK UP!
VERY happy and pleased to see our program online, and I’m full of anticipation and excitement about the upcoming Conference. I look forward to renewing old friendships, making new ones, and continuing to learn and grow with others who share my passion. This Conference is all about HOPE – a wish in my heart for good things to come, and a belief that in the future, circumstances will be better. I’m standing up, showing up and speaking up – COME JOIN ME!!
This conference has shaped up to be truly amazing. Not only are there great presentations on a wide variety of subjects of interest to registrants and family members, there will be opportunities to meet people who are facing the same or similar challenges. The conference promises to be a unique opportunity to share hope and to inspire each other. And it starts in only a few days. There’s still time to register online or in person at the conference. Come join us for an hour, for a day, or for the whole conference!
This looks like a great lineup! I will be sure to attend at least one day – the one-day option is a great idea. I am hopeful that it will be, at this point, one of the best investments I can make in my situation, my life, my family. I guess I will just skip some ciggies or brownbag it for a while.
This was a great conference, I got a lot out of it. Saturday was so informative, and Catherine Carpenter is such a champion on this injustice.
Wow, YOU are the first person I’ve seen post with any sort of Conference update, how it went. I’m glad you enjoyed and took away with you something useful. Eagerly awaiting even more updates (and some videos wouldn’t be bad either!).

The conference was excellent in that not only did really bright and smart people come to present, all with clarity and reality, but we all got to meet others in this mess. I met some very nice and caring people who have given me hope and friendships. Most, if not all, of my old pre so friends have gone by the wayside. This was a time to belong. Larisa Stow was fantastic and if you missed it, you missed a real great band.
