MA: Lawmaker wants to ban sex offenders from lottery winnings

UXBRIDGE — A veteran lawmaker said Tuesday he is working on a bill that would ban convicted sex offenders from payouts by the state lottery. 

State Sen. Richard T. Moore, D-Uxbridge, was reacting to the recent arrest of a convicted Level 3 sex offender in his hometown.  Full Article

My last glimmer of hope and someone wants to vex that too. Apparently the lottery is now considered an enabler. More likely they’re afraid a registrant might be able to afford some competent legal counsel.

Because of one person’s actions, they want to stick it to the rest! Total b.s.!
Sorry, but if this guy is re-offending this many times, maybe he should be off the streets. Meanwhile, for the rest of the one-time, low-level offenders, leave them alone IMHO.

I’ve read some pretty dumb proposed laws, but this guy is an idiot. What about murderers? OR, gang members? OMG
