It’s a scary reality that will only get worse. People can search with facial images and pull up your background and personal info now. Anyone with a cell phone can snap your face while shopping and then pull up where you live…
How is this even legal?

Now that President Trump is back in office I wonder if any Supreme Court Justices will retire. Looking at you Sam and Clarence, but hopefully they wouldn’t be replaced with Aliana Habba or Alieen Cannon.
Here’s an interesting fact as it applies to those convicted of CP possession. More females over 40 are attacked, raped and molested than females under 18, yet nothing is proposed to curb the AI generated porn depicting the “ milf “ genre like has been proposed for the under 18 genre. Nor has there been an outcry for prohibiting the sale of violent role play in this genre. 🤔
A man in Kansas was asked to leave a school event his partner’s child was at because other parents recognized him from the registry “Blue Valley will review district policy” These cases, as maddening as they are, potentially make good arguments against the registry, because they put public workers, like these school staff, against an angry section of the public who doesn’t understand the law. It’s messy and makes the lives of principals and superintendents harder, and I suspect judges may be sympathetic to the difficult position the registry puts them in. There’s a reason no other country has a public registry—they’re illogical.
Today marks 60 days until I can file! Hope I can make it.
With all the personnel cuts and confusion that this administration has created, including TSA, we could be looking at a window of opportunity to get to a better place.
Ice is in complete disarray with the immigration issues. The FBI is about to be turned into a private investigation service for Trump. And the DOJ is trying to figure out how to prosecute anyone that tells a joke about the president. We are on the back burner for the foreseeable future. Maybe having a narcissistic child in the Oval Office is the best thing that could happen to us.
The National Law Enforcement Accountability Database, which Trump proposed creating during his first term in 2020, was closed Thursday.

Guys, remember, the registry is only “publicly available information” put on a website so that info can be easily accessible to the masses, but info on misconduct from LEOs is now going to be buried and swept under the digital rug. All signs point to things getting worse before they get worse.
Going to file my 290.5 relief petition in 8 weeks and trying to decide whether to use private attorney, public defender or file on my own.
few Qs for anyone knowing the answers to my Questions
is the process sped up when using private over public defender? If filing on my own ( process is pretty self explanatory) do I need to have someone else serve the papers? Or can I serve the parties personally? How does PD determine eligibility. I assume it’s an income based system, but would that apply to filing papers as well? Can a law student file this. I understand the local Community college ( San Jose city ) has a law dept that takes these kind of jobs as experience for students.Any experienced feed back is appreciated.
Would love to use my client, since he used to be president of the county bar association, but then he doesn’t know and might have issues with it.
Also, if filing , did you type out the spaces or just print. If doing it I want it to be professional
Why does my attorney say I can file my petition ON the anniversary of my release from incarceration, but the court site says on or after my birthday FOLLOWING the anniversary of my release. Those are two different dates and my birthday is 3 months AFTER my release. Why does something so important to me have to be so contradictory between the court and my attorney. Who’s correct?
Pretty amazed to see this out there especially more so by who is doing this, Dr. Julia Shaw ” Lets talk about Evil” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atReK1tebCA&t=9s also a podcast “Bad People” https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p08lj446
I cannot get “verified” with the 9-frame picture puzzle, despite clicking what seem the correct pictures about 10 times consecutively! Perhaps it is malfunctioning?
I am an IHSS Care provider and one of my receptiants has sever mental issues in depression and has attempted suicide 3 times since Dec 1st 2024. He needs to be placed in a care facility as I cannot care for him anymore due to lack of mental health training. They refuse to accept him due to he is an PC 290 registrant. I believe this is a violation of his civil rights as a US citizen. Gentalmen and Women this applies to all registrants.
I know the “time clock starts” has been brought up before, even very recently with Janice stating date of release from custody (jail or prison), but I’m still unclear unfortunately. Arrested 01/2006, released from jail same day. Convicted 06/2008 w/formal probation, 120 days county jail (which was actually ankle bracelet home monitoring, no jail). Tier 2. So Jan 2026 I can petition?
Thanks in advance for any input!
Trump just announced that he wants to begin an immigration registry. For those thinking that the sex registry is immoral, think about this. To every immigrant, welcome to our world.

Noem’s department, however, pointed to potential criminal penalties for anyone who does not comply, including six months in prison or a $1,000 fine.
Immigration advocates blasted the move as a cruel policy that would push undocumented migrants to make difficult choices while pushing all migrants to carry proof of immigration status.
Nayna Gupta, policy director with the American Immigration Council, said the policy will put undocumented migrants in a “horrible position.”
Ok, but what about the horrible position being on the registry has caused me and many others that have to register under Megan’s law? I hope this get fought in court hopefully gives ACSOL leverage.
