This is my last night with a roof over my head, as of tomorrow I am homeless. Tell me again how this isn’t punishment. Three years past the end of my probation and a 1203.4 expungement two years ago. I played by the rules and still lost.
Here’s a subject I have not read about here before: How many of you who are registered citizens have succeeded in getting Social Security Benefits for stress, anxiety or depression? If you have succeeded in getting benefits, do you have any advise on how to qualify for these benefits?
I’m currently unemployed. What type of employment opportunities are there for RSO’s? I was terminated from probation in September. I’ve been taking classes at the local community college for the past year just to stay busy. Now that the semester is almost over I would like to find work. For the year I was on probation I had a gps monitor so I didn’t want to work. Those things are very temperamental and I didn’t want to risk violating probation because the charge would possibly run out while working or my potential job would put me close to a restricted area. Any suggestions for work would be greatly appreciated.
I was told that working for oil refineries is a good possibility. I was told this in the prerelease class I took at the prison I served my one year term. My friend also told me the same thing when I got out. He said that they don’t do background checks.
Does anyone else have any info for work? Has anyone ever used an agency to help find employment? Thanks in advance.
The federal not-SMART office has an e-mail address and FAX number that is to be used to contact them. It would be a pretty great thing if they were contacted on a regular basis by every Registered Citizen in the U.S. and other good Americans. A person can tell them what they think about not-SMART, SORNA, and the Registries in general. They need to know. In order for that e-mail address or FAX number to be useful for not-SMART, every communication received has to be read. It would be good for them to receive a million communications a week. It would be a great use of their time. You can find their contact information on their web site.
Hello All,
I am currently searching for a criminal defense attorney in Los Angeles that has experience & trial experience with internet sex stings. I was entrapped via an ad that I had placed on Craigslist in the adult section. I am innocent of the charge against me and need to clear my name, for not just my sake, but my family’s sake too.
I am currently fighting this case and am in dire need of a new attorney. I want to go to trial, but have been unsuccessful at finding an attorney that has experience with my type of case and/or has experience taking my type of case to trial. If you have any recommendations of an attorney or if you are an attorney that may be able to help, please contact me.
My email is film91718@yahoo.com
Thank you so much.

I have been very lucky , I have a small buisiness that keeps me self employed.
I remember very well when I first got out of jail and the stress and problems that I had… So as soon as I could, I went to work in the trade I knew.. I have done nothing else sence. (30 years ) of working , mostly because it is a “safe place for me” no one confrunts me , at least not to my face about my past. Not if they want me to work for them . I am now in a Position where I can help others. I would like to try. I m’ not sure this web site is the best way for you to contact me . no one puts their real contact info on it ,, , send your contact info to P.O. Box 1698 Nipomo Ca. 93444
Ditto. I was able to find self employment in the trade I knew, and if I could just grow, I’d like to help out others in employing them. Thing is we are all in far flung communities and know each other as anonymous registrants. More people need to use this site to communicate. Maybe a group could get together and start Registered Citizens Enterprises, Inc to provide work for those who need it. Gosh, there has to be thousands out there who have skills that aren’t doing them a bit of good because they exist is this climate of fear all around us, people also with a lot of free time to come up with creative ideas. I’m probably doomed to be an unrealistic dreamer, but maybe there are some out their who have the practical bent to organize some such enterprise, and it’s something I’d like to get into. Give unto others that we may all receive?
Any word or opinion on how the CA Supreme Court oral arguments went on Tuesday?
Wonderin
Water well Drilling, c 805-448-5365
I was at the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
I had nothing but good feelings about what the Judges said! The were very concerned about the harm being done to RSOs Several times saing “Jesicas law is a STUPID LAW ”
I expect the court to take away most of the restrictions on where RSOs can live , or be. With the exception of those on parole , or probation that have the restrictions a part of the deal. The court is also infavor of a tiered registry system .
It was a very good Day !
Doug, thank you for that good news. And, let me apologize for my dyslexia… I hit the thumbs down button in error & was totally unable to undue it. Sorry!
I think more communication between us Registered Citizens is an important and crucial thing. I’m a former web site designer and have some extra web domain names, so if there is interest, I could spend some time making a web blog site with permanent categories for all questions, comments and job opportunities related to Registered Citizens. It would have to be a free member only site so we can speak freely without media access or anyone’s comments being outed to the general public. What do you think? It would not be in competition with this sites news stories. Just a place to sound off and ask questions and perhaps get good answers/opinions. A section for available jobs, housing, food and utility resourses. Maybe a listing for recommended attorneys. Tell me what you think. Just a listing of recommended attorneys could have saved my ass. I picked a Know it all Harvard Attorney that turned out to be very stupid. He did everything wrong including being a Stoner that showed up late to every one of my court hearings. (Never hire a Santa Cruz attorney!) I went into court early and well dressed in a suit and he came in late looking like he just rolled out of bed. I think both the judge and procecusion felt sorry for me.
Ron ,
So what are you doing up at 1:am , You hired a bad lawyer, I walked into the sherrifs office and thought it was a confesonal … rummer is that mt folks had to move out of Oregon before they would let me out of the third grade.

I think that a most valuable book for all registered citizens, and those who are interested in them, and their welfare, is TAKING BACK THE COURTS by NORM PATTIS, who has represented many registered citizens, over the years. His book should be on everyone’s Christmas list, if you have not previously read it. He totally understands how our broken justice system has failed registered citizens, along with their counterparts in jails and prisons, and the need to work to change many of the unjust laws, which have ruined the lives of so many “offenders,” and their families. His insights offer much hope for what can be done to remedy the problem.
Man its really scary being on the registry you have to worry about breaking some law every time you go out somewhere because of all the ordinances. If it wasn’t for this site I wouldn’t have known about any of the restrictions placed ob rso. I really hope something changes for the better for all of us.
I have some work for a skilled MS SQL DBA.
Hiring someone is very scary for me – if I find someone through traditional means I am worried they will out me to clients. I want to give a chance to fellow registrant and build a trusting, mutually beneficial relationship. If anyone has the skill set described above or a better place to advertise this opportunity please let me know.
a paragraph from Smith v. Doe 3003 – raises the question – Arent free registered citizens also the public that has equal rights and that needs to be protected?
No Bill of Attainder shall be passed!
Respondents seek to cast doubt upon the nonpunitive nature of the law’s declared objective by pointing out that the Alaska Constitution lists the need for protecting the public as one of the purposes of criminal administration. Brief for Respondents 23 (citing Alaska Const., Art. I, § 12). As the Court stated in Flemming v. Nestor, rejecting an ex post facto challenge to a law terminating benefits to deported aliens, where a legislative restriction “is an incident of the State’s power to protect the health and safety of its citizens,” it will be considered “as evidencing an intent to exercise that 94*94 regulatory power, and not a purpose to add to the punishment.” 363 U. S., at 616 (citing Hawker v. New York, 170 U. S. 189 (1898)).
You know, “compliance check” is far, far too nice of a way to phrase that nanny big government idiotic nonsense. We need to adopt some other way to describe it. I haven’t put much thought into it but perhaps something like “Registered Citizen Visitation Flaunt and Boondoggle”? I think that describes it well but it is a mouthful. It is kind of funny though and I think people would better remember it because it is a little strange. We could just use “RCVFB”.
These are the definitions my dictionary has:
——- flaunt: Display proudly; act ostentatiously or pretentiously
——- boondoggle: Do useless, wasteful, or trivial work (Noun is: Work of little or no value done merely to look busy)
Registry Terrorists support the Registries by using inflammatory language and terms. It’s a weapon that should be used against them.
I went in to register
I notice on top to the paper reads
“have the registant read and initial the registeation reguirement on page 3 and 4 ( there used to be 1 page)
\verify the registrant UNDERSTANDS the requirement
on the bottom of the
“I understand refusing to sign this form is also punishable as a criminal offense”
so if you don’t understand it you will be punished for not understanding it.

Newspapers are vultures.. and legislation are idiots… nothing new..
But a win is a win when it comes to the lottery.. hope that guy gets his life together and find away to live in peace
I wonder… if I win the lottery in California.. is there anyway to protect my identity from being revealed? I know each state is different…
can I have a tattoo “californiarsol.org” on my forhead?
Reason 1 To prove my loyaly to californiarsol.org
reason 2: we can get more RSO to join californiarsol.org when their love one see me on the megan law website and pass it on to their RSO partner because it illegal for RSO to even look at me on megan law website..
However I think californiarsol.org is way too long…
if you get a domain name Carsol.com then ya that would work…
on the 2nd thought I think ill just get a black marker on the day I register.
( I think I am NOT THAT loyal yet)
I have an idea. I was wondering how many people actually know that the California RSOL exists? What if business cards with this website were made and people on here could take them to the registration offices and hand them out to the other registrants there? Might be a relatively cheap way to get the message out.
I’m trying to think of any class of ex convict that is being wholesale regulated in any way, not just as an example, by having to register with police after parole or probation, but in any way. Are bank robbers who served their sentences, prohibited from entering a bank, are drunk drivers told to inform police when they are getting in a car, are murderers with a women victim told they can’t be where women congregate, or near men, if the victim was male. If these restrictions are too arbitrary to apply to these people after they served their sentence, why is it not considered arbitrary to wholesale regulate the movements and presence of former sex offenders after their sentence is done?
