A Trump presidency and a Republican majority senate and house. This can’t be good for us.
And, not just the Supreme Court. There are many federal court vacancies because of the Senate’s stonewalling Obama appointments. They will now all be filled by Trump far right judges, rubber stamped by the Republican Senate. That will change the legal landscape significantly, so it would seem that any legal actions should be sped up. Recent vacancy counts: US Court of Appeals 13, US District Courts 81.
Or…..if he nominates strict Constitutionalists, they may follow the exact words of the Constitution and rule the Registries to be unconstitutional.
“Strict constructionists” have hardly been friends of registered sex offenders. Consider the remark of Alito (very much a Constitutional conservative) in the Nichols case, referring to IML: Noting that the Philippines is among the countries to which “sex tourists”‘ flock, he said, “Hasn’t Congress, by the enactment of the new statute [IML] and in other ways, evidenced a belief that the United States should not be exporting its pedophile problems to other countries? Hasn’t Congress evidenced a concern about this both for the human rights aspects of the problem and, also, I would think, for relations with the government of the Philippines?” Don’t think we should expect much truth and reason from his ilk.
“Obama on election outcome: “Remember that we’re actually all on one team. This is an intramural scrimmage.”
HAHAHAHAAHA!!!
Unless of course if you wear the badge of shame, you’re relegated to being a second-stringer on the bench and forever disallowed to participate in the game of liberty and freedom.
Your team sucks, America.
yep Bernie should’ve been the nominee and I would have voted for him but he wasn’t so…..TRUMP 2016 and lock her up drain the Swamp….if he does what he preaches he might be a asset to this country…..Hilary should be in prison so glad she lost…..hope they prosecute her and bill….they accumulated over 150 million dollars off their so called charity and let people in bengazzi die ect ect ……believe me….lol
man that Steve guy has serious anger issues or is just antisocial and has control issues either way lighten up dude stop telling people what to do or what to say…if you don’t like it or don’t want to contribute to productive discourse why don’t you go create your own site and stop all your whining….pathetic….Hilary supporter im sure buttt hurt because they were rejected….hillary… the epitome of corrupt government officials….
whatever you’re a divider not a uniter….im not going down this lame assss road with you again….do and say what you want and I’ll do the same….Janice and her Board or any other organization is stepping up to the plate and challenging the government on the real issues like it or not…it’s a fact…
seems like you’re the only one, crying as you put, while all the others were simply having dialog….I think you have attacked or ridiculed just about everyone on here at some point….also I don’t believe you’ve been here longer than me simply because I assume we probably would have clashed long ago…not that it matters who’s been here longer or who’s done more or who’s smarter than who….childish…
I am not clear on why we can’t demand evidence to show there is a high re-offense rate for SOs, hence justifying a need for the registry. Laws just can’t be introduced purely on an assumption or a lie. If it becomes law, there better be a very good reason for the need to implement it. What is so hard about asking to show statistics? If the statistics don’t match what the public is being told, then it is clearly not grounds for this sort of punishment. There are so many studies out there that clearly prove the opposite of what the public is being told. Sounds almost too simple, but something needs to be done. You can’t take privileges from anyone without a good reason.
Hillary could have made the most of a precious untapped resource, the registrant vote. 800k registrants in the US. If each registrant has 3 adult family members who voted and each voter knew about the RSOL website and agreed with it’s general message, that could have been 2-3 million votes for Hillary if Hillary would not have embraced the continuation of Obama’s policies to aid his legacy, in exchange for Obama’s now known to be fruitless campaigning for Hillary. To registrants, that could have meant a continuation of Obama’s obsession with pleasing Chris Smith and trying to convince leaders in every country to share the visions of the psychotic anti-abortion, anti-woman and anti-registrant activist Chris Smith in regards to registrants. A Hillary Presidency squandered because it was more important to persecute registrants. Since there are registrants and family in every state, many of those 2-3 million votes were key votes. They weren’t all California or New York votes. So much opportunity wasted.
Steve’s ilk and Mike’s swill…? Really.
The ACLU will probably not be able to commit any more resources in the near future, as they will be fighting tooth and nail to oppose Donald Trump and the GOP. They have indicated that their entire focus will be going toward filing lawsuits in federal court after federal court, so don’t look at that organization to help our cause for quite a while. A word to the wise.
I hear you timmer…I am not even going to respond to those lame asss remarks anymore…it’s hard not to want to defend myself or others when we are attacked by individuals like Steve but I am going try my best to ignore those comments in the future…..
Hello there I have a question –
I finally got a job!! And my question is – do I need to update my registration with the sheriff right away or can I wait until my next annual price club renewal?
Someone said we should learn from other groups. I have been reading the Black Panthers (opps, mass surveillance alert, key words detected, call out the moles!) 10 point plan and like that organizing idea of supporting and protecting each other, and reaching out to other disaffected groups. Pull all our resources together. One for all all for one. A little of military discipline mind you, but it does feel like war. Scrap the violence, threats or otherwise, because they are already afraid of us, and they would love to have any excuse to put us behind bars for the rest of our lives. And they have an immense capacity to do violence, but their moral grounds are weak and challengeble, legal defense and citizen involvement, helping each other make a living, that is a different story (opps, socialism alert, time to let the crawlers out). They all need to go together. Most of the 10 point like plan can be repurposed, but we have to have a substitute for a cultural and ethical identity. We don’t have one. We are all from different backgrounds. We are just bound by a slew of barely related criminal experiences and these laws (oh joy, that is inspiring) we need something more positive to bond us to a purpose. A mission statement, yes, statement of facts, yes, but an implementation plan to achieve it. It is clear many are arguing over who is right, but none of us is doing much convincing, and we are not getting any younger or freer meanwhile.
I am getting a kick out of all these people who are afraid they are going to lose there rights after this last election. Where have they been? Some of those people were probably whole hog for the registry, and that has been the blueprint for taking away people’s rights — “legitimate” government interest. They are getting a taste of what some of have suffered through for many years after we had paid our dues to society. Will they get it now that Trump is going to beat them over their head with it. They need our help to fight this. We have the life experience.
I think it could have been possible, maybe not probable however, that all those registrants, family and friends could be coordinated to vote in a block like some churchs can get their votes together. The impetus to get this done may have been there if Obama had not signed IML, not implemented Angel Watch and Hillary was did not appear poised to continue this Chris Smith instilled obsession. The numbers indicate the plausibility. The votes are still being counted but it looks like Hillary won the popular vote by over 300,000 votes but lost the electoral votes by 62. One road to Hillary winning with help from registrant voting blocks would be to tap the registrant vote in the 3 key states of Wisconsin ( 10 electoral votes) , Florida ( 29 electoral votes) and Pennsylvania ( 20 electoral votes). Wisconsin would be on the road to Hillary’s registrant-assisted hypothetical win in scenario since in Wisconsin, Hilary only lost by 27,000 votes out of over about 3 million votes. In Wisconsin there are 20,000 registrants. Just registrants votes alone without family and friends could have almost flipped Wisconsin for Hillary. With just one relative of a registrant voting with each registrant, Wisconsin would have been different, with all other conditions being met such as all registrants voting. Then there is Florida that Trump took with 120,000 votes. With around 40k registrants in Florida. It would take about 3 fanily members or friends of each registrant to vote to get a 160,000 vote block for Hillary. Then there’s Pennsylvania.Trump won there by around 68,000 votes. With over 15,000 registrants in Pennsylvania, it would take 4 family members or friends of each registrant to get a 75,000 vote block for Hillary. This is surely not a sure thing, but the numbers make it at least look feasible.
Adding in the registrant connected voting block of Michigan would have taken Hillary over the top. I needed 3 more electoral votes more than those 3 states. So lets add Michigan. I actually should have used Michigan as my best example. Michigan has 16 electoral votes. Trump won Michigan by only 11,000 votes out of over 4 million votes. There are 40,000 registrants in Michigan. Michigan could have swung the election to Hillary with the greatest of ease in any of the states. Adding in Michigan to Hillary, now Hillary wins by 13 electoral votes. If registrants in all those states were already all voting for Hilllary, then there would be no swing. I personally think that would not be the case since I don’t think most registrants or most Americans for that matter vote at all.
It is interesting to see the comments of the story that made news about the missing jogger. The husband was “cleared” because he passed a polygraph. The majority of comments are about the bogus “lie” detector test and how they don’t work. Supposedly, even Hillary Clinton said that Polygraphs are not accurate. They are not admissible in court so innocent people don’t get convicted, and guilty people are often cleared. So, why again does probation and parole use them?? Anyone?
Carnival Corp. to screen cruise passengers through Interpol
This is interesting and also addresses the issue of lost or stolen passports that came up in the last teleconference. I would advise: resist the temptation to report your passport lost or stolen. It puts you way up in level of scrutiny, not just by our government, but by all governments.

I have a question about domestic and international travel.
Does traveling jeopardize the 10 year residency requirement needed to apply for a Cert Of Rehab in CA?
Wondering if the courts could say, well you traveled to X state or country so you weren’t living in CA for 10 years.
Am I overthinking this? Thank you.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right_to_privacy
“Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948. A right to privacy is explicitly stated under Article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: “No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honor and reputation.”
The unsuspecting public is being duped under the false assumption that the registry “minimizes risk” in regards to knowing where somewhere lives. This is simply not true. The registry circumvents ACTUAL safety, security and privacy just so those that view Megan’s Law can have fleeting psychological comfort and a false sense of relief.
Just because there hasn’t been an uptick in child abduction in recent years doesn’t mean that the community notification schema is a tangible “safety tool,” much less evidence that it works as designed and intended. Even though abductions have dwindled, the lawmakers and child safety advocates continue to inflate the stats to justify these feckless and irresponsible laws that reverse engineer reality.
Freedom without privacy means absolutely nothing to me.
Ok many states registries ask you for you email addresses and some even want any social media account names. The question I have wondered is say someone was doing something illegal with the email address or any other required information you have to reveal. Why don’t you have a 5 th admendment right not to reveal that information?
