BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A Fresno man was found guilty on Wednesday of numerous child molestation and child pornography charges and faces 1,882 years-to-life in prison.
_______, 42, a registered sex offender was living with a family and was charged with sexually assaulting two female victims in their home over a period of one year from June 2014 to June 2015.
The problem is that a large percentage of the public is under-informed to the extent that they assume anyone who is a registered sex offender must have done something similar to this guy, and they don’t understand why we’re not all in prison for 1,882 years.
Wow.. so he actually has a chance at beating Larry Nassar’s sentencing record?
Lets assume this guy is about 30 years old plus 75 years equals about 105 years. This guy is wise for not taking the plea. His can appeal and get a better deal than the 75 years to life.
So, a far-longer sentence than if he had actually killed them. Reaffirms what most of us know to be true — sex crime > murder.
A sentence like this is effectively a death sentence.
Looks like the sex offender registry didn’t work.
