Cheers to ACSOL!! Now that the judge has ruled the lawsuit may proceed, has a date been set for the hearing of arguments?

How our they going to justify this in court? Wait maybe like this.(First kiss up to the judge) Well Your great great Honor Those kind of sub humans are just plain BAD! And they may carry Cooties that could spread too people who are voting! Even as i speak in this court room your Honor I feel itching and i need too put on a hazard suit with a air tank!! Can’t you all see how dangerous these sex offenders our? We must stop this now! No living next to a school or let them work in peace. We must keep all sex offenders under our thumb at no price. Just to save one child. At this time your Honor the state would like this trial to be dismissed on the grounds that sex offenders have Cooties and we don’t want the public to get Cooties! Or to find out the truth! That it’s a money scam to the taxpayer’s. So your Honor let’s keep this going. Or you could be voted out for siding with the Cootie boys.Anyways best of luck Janice you got this! Us Cootie people thank you with all the love in our hearts that you fight for us!

Thanks!

@ Vampire: Cooties!! ‘Love it! 🤣
But you missed a most critical point:
If registrants serve as poll workers, the losing side(s) will blame their loss on us! 😳

From experience, the LA County Registrar Recorder office relies on the public sex offender registry site to verify poll worker status. I forgot where I found it, but the actual internal written policy TELLS THEM to use the public website to do this. Of course, we all know how inaccurate the public website can be. This makes for the argument that LA County is illegally using the public registry to make employment decisions. Remember… being a poll worker “volunteer” can net you a $250 stipend; so this DOES COUNT as employment.

I’m not sure what to say. If they are repeat offenders, no! I stand by that comment. If it was a one time thing and they turned their life around, no problem.

@USA A repeat offender of any crime should not be out on the streets in the first place! Once you paid for your crime it should be done and over to let you rebuild your life.

I’m simply conveying my opinion. What if I committed a crime (sexual related) 10 years ago and another last year? That says you have an issue. So, maybe they set parameters? Are all people with a criminal issue banned from doing this?

🤗 Well, not only did Janice and ACSOL successfully settle this lawsuit (yes, Registrants may now serve as poll workers in Los Angeles County), but Trevor Noah announced on his broadcast that poll workers are desperately needed throughout the United States and people should apply! Thank you, Trevor! 👍 Now please do a show on the complete idiocy of sex offender registries!!! 👍😁
