Janice much of this registry is a type of mems rea. A human made penal code of unjust caliber of a greater deception induced by law enforcement. Sure if many want to buy into all this than they might as well promote abortion more. Sure their is good and bad in everything but justice seems to hold no bars.

The Quakers are a bit more moral in their understandings of true justice and thats why I don’t blame PA supreme courts saying that the registry is unconstitutional. I should hope all the USA take more note of the issue.

While these sting operations still go on in many states whether or not some are off the registry or not there is still a lot to do to get much of this registry abolished inb many ways. Here is a recording about some of these cases that may shed a bit of light on helping shed the light to the American public about much of this registry that is so demonic that it would even make adults understand that true American Justice is scandelous in and of itself and true American justice is a shamble to say the least.

I hope Janice posts audio as this as it says volumes about many of these sex registry operations and is well documented. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/26/magazine/sex-offender-operation-net-nanny.html

So once the court grants our petition, we are no longer required to register in California? I think there is confusion that we have to wait for the DOJ letter and also the DOJ has to notify our registration agency. But I understood that once THE COURT grants the petition we are finished registering at that moment correct?? At least that’s what it says here, this is from the DOJ website.

How long will it take after my petition for termination is granted by the court for my registration requirement to be terminated by the CA DOJ?

The CA DOJ anticipates full termination from the registry after a petition is granted to take between 30-90 days. Please retain a copy of the court order granting your petition until you receive a letter from CA DOJ indicating your registration requirement has been fully terminated. Your requirement to register as a sex offender in California ends at the time the court grants your petition.

Like FloriDUH, TN has done similar in disenfranchising their people who have felony convictions from voting: While many states have made it easier for people convicted of felonies to vote, Tennessee has gone in the other direction
There is a cultural slant to the article, but the overall point is blocking people to vote post-conviction.

A 15-year-old young man arrested (link) for pretending to be a teen girl on-line to catfish and extort male classmates. Time and again, we see families of young men and women lamenting over being catfished and threatened and humiliated, and yet our government proudly engages in catfishing to ensnare only slightly older men (typically, at least) and subject to decades of registry punishment. It’s the same impulses in both cases: sadism, notch-scoring, bitterness. The military may need spies, but honorable people don’t go into spycraft. The promotion of catfishing by the US government does far more harm than any imagined good it does to protect imagined teenagers seeking out sex with strangers.

🤗 😃 Woohoo!! My attorney has just informed me that my Petition for Removal from the Florida Registry HAS BEEN GRANTED!!! 🥳 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Next Step: Petitioning for Removal from Cali’s Registry!! 🤗

Could someone who has registered under the new SORNA regs this year provide for me some details on what exactly to expect. I am furious over the 4 times a year requirement for my Tier 3 offense (which technically should be tier 2). My specific situation makes it extremely hard and costly even to just register once a year! Exactly how are the hell are these offices going to be able to handle the massive influx of notifications (by phone or in person?) everytime an individual has to leave town for more than a week??! What if you travel for work?? As far as Internet identifiers, do I have to provide every still active email account and login information to every online chat that is still active? It’s all so absurd..

Hmmm, there’s a new* phrase in this article: “non-consensual intimate images”

France’s global push for online child safety

*well, it’s new to me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Some people have raised this question, and it never really dawned on me. Why exactly is a judge and a DA involved in a civil regulatory matter when it comes to the petition? So, it IS criminal….thought so.

Heard/read something somewhere that when someone checks their credit report it will disclose any registrants in the area. Anyone know if this is true?

Now that my kids are older and starting out I want to have them check their credit reports but definitely don’t want them to see me on there. They don’t know about my situation and would like it to stay that way.

Thanks.

So apparently the Dive team member that found the 16 year old missing girl who left the bonfire party drunk earlier this year in California were people assume that she might’ve left with people with bad intentions only to be found upside down in a small lake has allegedly raped his younger sister when he was 17 and now it’s catching up with him.

‘Act like you’re my mom’: 10-year-old boy escapes potential kidnaping asking clerk for help
So apparently this blows the “ look out for the male predator” theory out of the water.

New Person – I am still not giving up on the “CA Right To Privacy” in regards to Megan’s Law. I came across Proposition 24, which is an amended CA Consumer Privacy act, effective 1/1/23. It lists a lot of interesting information and it emphasizes that it does not apply to government agencies, which again, Megan’s law is not. So, it should apply to Megan’s law in my opinion. It states, for example, that if a business has incorrect information, it has to take that information down. What about those with a PC1203.4 where Megan’s Law still shows a conviction? That surely is incorrect information and should be taken down immediately. It also states that under that new law, no exact geolocation is permitted. ML shows an exact address with a map pointing to that address. Hopefully, you can look into this as well and let us know your thoughts. I also found the Victim’s rights Bill, which states that victim’s information should not be publicly available to avoid embarrassment and harassment. So, when it comes to victims, they realize that both are a direct result of public information, yet for PFRs AND their families, it is not seen that way. Families of PFRs are no threat to the public (neither are PFRs), and that is why their information should not be disseminated, yet their address is, purely due to association.

Good to see at least England upholds harassment claims
Man sent ‘grossly offensive messages to sex offender

I love the Babylon Bee and its sister site Not the Bee, but posts like this get me PO’d to the point that I might, might, subscribe just to get past the pay wall and mix some reason into the comments section.

Being a PFR sucks to no end, and many of us dream of fleeing to greener pastures, but can you imagine having it so shitty in your native country, that you’d sneak stroll back across the border into a land where you’re branded with the most reviled of trademarks, to make some dineros?
Granted, the illegals aren’t exactly checking in with the local PD and their mug shot and home address aren’t publicly listed, but still.
This also begs the question, do they not risk a prison sentence for FTR if they don’t register a new address, or are they just shown to the door…again?

30 years later for a potential pardon. Apparently this case was one of the first daycare hysteria wave in the 80/s.

which is better county for registrants to register and live in, san diego county or riverside county?
it’s a shame not all counties and states are consistent.
thank you,
jp

Just want to say I am off the California Registry, but that does not mean my concern for fellow registrants is ended.

Not everyone is able to obtain the relief they have earned and should enjoy. The struggle continues, and I consider myself to be a part of that effort.

Second, it is possible things could reverse. Not that it’s a great danger, but it is possible. Once registered, those lists remain and there is always that small danger society could change course and come after us again. So, we must always be vigilant.

I want those of you who cannot be relieved to know that you are not alone, not forgotten, and that we continue to stand with you. Our support, financial and otherwise remains.

I live in the state of Maine, and would like to know if I moved to California in the year 2023 if I would have to register, my conviction happened in 1993. did my time and probation and finished the states requirements, Then I was put on the Registry for life (Tier III) in 2007 15 years after my conviction and all my requirements from the state. and then then found out I could petition to get off the registry in 2010 after being on the Registry for 3 years and was removed. I am no longer on the registry Ive been off the registry now for 12 years. I have not re offended its been 30 years.

Why have statue limitations if you can override them?

These types of offers are all over Europe and give people an opportunity to rebuild a life. I found a location in Spain that was just under 40,000 euros and probably would need about 30,000 euros for repairs, which many municipalities will assist you with.
Those of you looking for an escape from your situation need to start expanding your idea of places to live.

A note for the low income people.

I have always, up until a few days ago, had cable TV and internet supplied by a major media company. My bill has steadily increased over the years and I often wondered why is my bill going up for a digital service. A few weeks ago my media supplier sent out an email stating that the internet cost was going up $10 per month. No explanation given; just like it or leave it.

I finally decided to “cut the cord” (no longer have cable tv). Maybe I’m the last of those born in my age group to do so, idk, but I did it. I took my cable box down to the media company and turned it in. I then signed up for internet only and just happen to get in on a one year deal for high speed, lots of data usage internet at something like $ 79 a month. And, I new I was already qualified for the Affordable Connectivity Program so I’d get and additional $30 per month off paid for by our gov’t.

I qualified on income alone which is my social security (around $24k per year). A persons net worth is not considered :-).

My tv and internet bill went from $240 per month to $50 per month. Yes, I lost some stations but don’t miss them and I still get national and local news and many free movies via my smart tv.

Just trying to help out fellow pfrs.

To me this is why receipt should have to be proven in order to be charged with it. There are plenty of people who fell down the dark hole of cp who had no intentions or did not try to buy it. Then you have people like this guy.
