Can we report there is good news related to Halloween signs from the national office with their efforts in LA? Some good Halloween news from Louisiana (NARSOL, 31Oct2023)
Got 1 of 3 Parishes to not post signs with preemptive sign strikes on sheriff offices prior to Halloween.

Does anyone know if being on parole can just automatically restrict one from ever being on social media? Even if the charges that led one to be on parole never used a computer? Seems like a good attorney could get that restriction of parole lifted. Anyone?

I was reading up on the SORNA lawsuit in California about due process and the first amendment and one part of the article stuck out to me which said: The court also found the rule’s requirement that registrants disclose their internet usernames likely violated the First Amendment by making it impossible for them to protest anonymously on issues of public concern, like the DOJ rule.

This is different than the Illinois Supreme Court ruling which does allow registrants to be online (after supervision is over or allowed by the PO upon request I believe) but same in the sense that we still have to report all social media websites and usernames to the ISP after People v Minnis was ruled in favor of the state.

If the federal lawsuit goes in the registrant’s favor, it looks like that is one more thing that can be crossed off Illinois registrant guidelines, right?

I was also wondering if anyone has considered putting up halloween lights with a political theme and when they are told to take them down, sue because of a violation of the first amendment.

Has there been any meaningful discussions on moving misdemeanors out of Tier 3? Pretty nuts that’s the case, especially with no prison time served. CASOMB recommending felonies be moved down to 1 from 3 but nothing with misdemeanors is wrong.

Amongst the many articles and posts about Halloween there were a few posts here stating that there had NEVER been a sexual assault on Halloween by an already convicted person of a sex offense. In the past I did agree that to be true until two years ago when that history was broken.

And, I’ll remind you the definition of sexual assault varies from state to state and does not necessarily involve physical contact. I personally was convicted of sexual assault and the only contact was me on me.

Do an internet search for “sex offender answers door naked Halloween” and you’ll get no less than 27 hits on an offense that happened October 31, 2021.

https://kslnewsradio.com/1958496/sexual-offender-arrested-after-answering-door-naked-on-halloween/ is just one of those hits.

Our claim to the last offense in 1973 on Lisa French was not even from a person on a sex offender registry.

Another Halloween gone.. Atleast a hundred kids came trick or treating to my house, and none were hurt. A quick search of the news shows no child rapes by registrants, no child abductions or lewd monsters out displaying their junk. A quick search though shows a decent amount of families in mourning as drunk drivers strike again. How much longer before the Karens and Darens realize the real danger to their precious ghouls are their alcoholism and drunk driving? As the old saying said “We have met the enemy and it is us.”

For anyone in need of work in Georgia, I have tried and tried to get two small tree stumps ground down after Hurricane Idalia. No one I have contacted has responded. I have even looked at renting a stump grinder and as expected have received responses for a rental in the months or in the hundreds for two simple 12 inch stumps.

Trees fall down, trees are blown down. If someone in south Ga wants to work (I’m disabled) and be supported by me…

Hi family!
I’ve been a little busy, but here’s an update. After several months, I finally got my classification from Massachusetts SORB. They issued me the lowest level 1 status where I’m not listed. I can live or walk anywhere, including thru the middle of a school yard. I’m eligible to petition to be off the Mass registry in 10 years after my conviction (less than 3 years from now). That’s quite a feat, considering just over a year ago, I was living in a state that considered me so dangerous that off parole, my info was public, I had to wear an ankle bracelet and register for life. But I don’t even have to do that anymore. I’m quite certain other Wisconsinites already told you that lifetime registry is no longer required for non-repeat cp offenders due to a court decision filed by a brave inmate who took on the Wisconsin DOC and that Uncle Tom who leads it. Anyways, I’m back to having to register 15 years, and that allows me to qualify for federal and state subsidized housing. My housing coordinators are shocked that I got 3 years for some minor computer stuff that didn’t involve any communication. But hey, I was unlucky enough to get caught in a fu*ked up backward Midwestern state. However, Massachusetts is truly a great state, and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else in Amerikkka. I plan on doing more international travel after I take care of my medical issues & housing. But with recent successes, I’m not longer in a hurry to leave the country. Peace & God Bless!

In case anyone from Texas not on probation and not on parole but still registered reads comments, below is what I recently emailed to my registering officer after a home compliance check when I was not home. In my opinion, in Texas there is no statutory or regulatory requirement for home compliance checks for those not on probation and not on parole. In my opinion, for those not on probation and not on parole, any compliance check is just a local law enforcement “policy” that applies to the employees of that local law enforcement agency. So if the agency has a policy to do a home compliance check, fine, but that does not mean I have to co-operate if not on probation and not on parole. Of course I would cooperate if required by statute or required by state agency regulations. I received no response to my email.

Detective ________,

I do my best to ensure I comply with Texas Code of Criminal Procedures Chapter 62 and the Department of Public Safety Regulations in regards to people forced to register.

After reading the Texas Code of Criminal Procedures Chapter 62 and reading the Department of Public Safety Regulations, I am unable to locate where I, not on probation and not on parole and classified as level one risk by the Department of Public Safety, am required to respond to any notes left on my front door by the County Sheriff Department SOAP Team when I am in compliance with registration requirements.

Question…to ensure I comply with Texas Code of Criminal Procedures Chapter 62 and the Department of Public Safety Regulations would you please educate me where in those two documents I am required to respond as requested by the County Department SOAP Team to any notes left on my front door?

Thank you.

Here’s an interesting note for the masses of this forum who like to visit and read, the other day I was on a domestic flight sitting in the emergency exit row. Within the emergency exit row a minor who is 15 years or younger cannot sit in it. However, a minor who is 16 or 17 can sit in it.

So when we hear the people tell us that anyone who’s under the age of 18 is not mentally competent or capable to make adult like decisions when it comes to sex, I’m going to have to chuckle even harder now. Not only can they drive a vehicle which can be lethal in killing someone or many people, including themselves, they can also be responsible for handling the emergency egress door on the side of an airplane to ensure everybody can escape safely in case of an emergency landing.

Maybe not everybody should sit in the emergency exit row, but if they’re competent at 16 or 17 to handle the responsibilities related to it with other people’s lives in their hands, the aforementioned sex argument doesn’t compute anymore.

Surprising and unusual….. A 75 year old Wisconsin teacher was convicted of 25 counts of sexual assault. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison for repeated assaults on a 14 yo male student. 🤔

I’ve learned that unless something new comes from a federal court, it can and will be used against us in a court if law

(Halloween) Automobile injuries and deaths (NARSOL 3Nov2023)

“2023 appears to have set records for collisions with trick-or-treating children in hit and run and other automobile conflicts”…in PA, AL, OK, GA, MN, FLA, and NC to name a few.

This is part of a bigger article by the head office but since we in the forum discuss autos and Halloween together like peas and carrots.

For any Veteran homeless sex offender, I use the term because it is what’s referenced in the pdf.
I thought I was disqualified from services due to the HUD ban on lifetime registrants but they have some interesting work arounds for that in this as well as other things to help the homeless veteran SO. Read the whole thing.

Holy hell!! A person just came onto my property and placed stuff onto my front porch!! (I did open my front gate with signs of no trespassing and dog warning prior)

Did this person check the registry?
Did this person do a background check?
Did this person fear anything?

I’d say no to all three.

BTW, It was a young black women by herself doing her job trying to earn a living. She delivered my order, verified that delivery by a photo, and went on her way.

I am an older white male, RSO and on supervision.

My dog did bark and came to alert me :-).

Do you ever wonder about “the victims” of sexual offenses? I do. (Although I don’t consider the person I was involved with to be “a victim”, nor does he.)
Anyway, two books to consider: Touched by Scott Campbell and The Lookback Window by Kyle Dillon Hertz. Food for thought, FWIW. 🤷🏻‍♂️
(I’ve just begun the 2nd.)

The subject of retirement and bank accounts getting closed on PFRs had come up before. Hopefully this article rehashes old news and doesn’t signal a new purge that could impact us.

https://dnyuz.com/2023/11/05/why-banks-are-suddenly-closing-down-customer-accounts/

Very surprising. 😳 I am seeing more and more media reports of women being prosecuted on sex offender charges. 😲
Mostly teachers, aides, counselors, etc. 🙁

Michigan Doe v Nessel , 23-cv-11655 uses only Mich laws and jury instructions to prove the officials are the predators .
100s or 1000s of cases are bogus.
I mailed 200 on the SOR to advise them of such…many more to contact.
The tide is turning…karma is gonna remove a lot of gluteus maximus tissue, legally speaking, from the corrupt ones.
ENJOY EACH BREATH !!

If anyone is wondering about the Clements vs Florida case here is petitioners final reply before conference

NARSOL posted this survey for mothers of people forced to register. I have not taken it yet and I will not provide any personally identifiable info that would / could harm my son in any way, but it is interesting that there are more studies being done on the negative impacts of the registry.

Hello Everyone. Does anyone know any recourse for federal convictions of cp? While I am still on probation, I want to believe there is hope in the future. I understand there is the possibility of getting a pardon, although extremely unlikely. Can I do anything else to improve my situation? I am based out of NY. I understand if it were a state crime, I might have the option to request downgrade to misdemeanor and sealing. I just feel like no matter how much I rehabilitate, in the world’s eyes, I will always be the same.

There will come a time where you just dont give a F*** what other people think. We can’t let the world’s judgment get under our skin. People are going to think what they want, but that’s their problem, not ours. We’re on this road to set things straight on our terms, not to grovel for their approval. We own our past, sure, but we’re also the ones in charge of our future. dont waste your energy on the haters; right or wrong by our future actions will always carry more weight than their words.

Has your bank account been unexpectedly closed??
From The New York Times:

Why Banks Are Suddenly Closing Down Customer Accounts

The goal is to crack down on fraud, terrorism, money laundering, human trafficking and other crimes.”
