The conference to be held near Washington, D.C., on March 2 will feature both cooperation among organizations that support registrants and their families as well as progress made toward elimination of the registry. The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn near Reagan National airport at 2650 Richmond Highway in Arlington, Virginia, starting at 9 a.m.
Individuals are encouraged to sign up for the conference no later than Tuesday, February 25, in order to ensure they will be provided with both food and materials. Individuals will be able to sign up to attend the conference the day of the conference, however, food and materials may not be available for those who do so.
More than 40 organizations are working together in support of the conference on March 2 as well as the vigil on March 3. The vigil will begin at 11 a.m. near the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Conference speakers include attorney Janice Bellucci, professor Stephanie Jerstad as well as activists Amber Vlangas, Christopher Sparks and Danell Puglisi-Knutson. The conference will end at 4:30 p.m. with a panel of representatives from several organizations that support registrants and their families.
