(MAYFIELD, Ky.) — Kentucky State Police Post 1 is alerting the public about a recent surge in scam calls, including schemes specifically targeting individuals listed on the Sex Offender Registry.
In multiple incidents reported over the past several days, registered sex offenders have received fraudulent phone calls from someone falsely claiming to be KSP Post 1 Commander Captain Joey Adams. The impersonator tells victims they have an outstanding warrant related to their registry status and demands payment for bond money.
“This is a scam,” KSP officials emphasized in a statement Sunday. “Law enforcement will not call you to advise you of a warrant or request money related to a warrant.”
The scam represents a particularly troubling trend, as it exploits vulnerable populations by using personal information obtained from public registries. KSP Post 1 noted that the department has seen an …

The government has perpetraded this SCAM 100% its thier fault they have made a group of people vulnerable by PUBLISHING aka DOXING Peoples names/addresses etc. I dont see a “LIST” of people toting guns around, or bank robbers or Home invasion felons… what about the convicted ones that has littered ?? CORRUPT GOVERNMENT !!!!!
Who would have thought having your information out there for all of the world to see would not be exploited for monetary or violent reasoning.
Hope Janice and ACSOL continues to collect all of these articles as evidence to show the registry is unconstitutional.
Other than for tracking purposes, what is calling LE going to do when called to report it? “Yes, honey, we know already. Thanks for calling.”
Of course, there are legal ramifications on misusing the data, but has anyone ever seriously be charged, prosecuted, and convicted through these ramifications? If so, they’d be hailed in the pokey by the population. It is one thing to be spam called because data is available from the county assessor’s website but another to because of a conviction where it is illegal to do so. Goes to show there is no need for this method of punishment because even if it were behind closed doors, it would get leaked somehow.

This vulnerable population is a government creation! Without SORA it doesn’t exist!
The government does not have the authority to create a vulnerable class of millions of people, subjecting these to known criminal attacks of the worst kind, for the alleged protection of anyone!
Some months ago, I had some guy call me here in the Phoenix area and tell me that my DNA sample had been lost and that there was a warrant for my arrest and in order to prevent an arrest I would have to pay a $6500 bond. I asked how and they sent me a Bitcoin QR. I knew immediately it was a scam.
I told the guy to “F himself you scammer”.
I called the FBI and County Sheriff and gave them the number and details
If and when this ever makes it back to the Supreme Court, the supporting documentation should include a compilation of the THOUSANDS of cases of property vandalism destruction, arson, discrimination, battery, violent assaults and even murder that have come about from publishing theses “lists” for the public.
