Are the red decals young drivers have to put on their license plates an invitation to potential sex offenders? Are they advertising that there’s probably a teenager in the car?
Some people think so, while others say they’re a valuable tool for law enforcement. Full Article
By the logic of this proposed law, we should ban parks and schools too, because it’s just an invitation to sex offenders?
BTW, does anyone happen to know when the world is going to end? I can’t remember the exact date but i hope it happens soon. There are just too many stupid people for this planet to sustain itself.
Oh come on now, how much more ridiculous can these laws get?. How about just banning teenagers from the road, period. Insurance rates will then go down.
The real reason that the public should be aware of teenage drivers is that they are probably many times more likely to injure, maim or kill someone, than a registrant.
How a politician can deride registrants yet again on a whim is testimony to their ignorance at large. God save us all from them. Maybe they should put red flags on their cars so everyone can run for their lives (and save the constitution at the same time. That would be a win-win situation.
I also wonder whether it even really is viewable by other drivers. There is no information in the story about where the decal must be displayed. I note, in New Jersey the registration decal must be displayed in the lower right corner (or is it the left corner) of the front windshield, not on the rear license plate like in California. So, is this teenage decal also in the windshield — in which case, other drivers can’t even see it — but who cares if you can scream again about the epidemic of sex offenders coming out of the woodwork to kidnap “children” they don’t even know off the street.
Yes, Nicolas, it is very scary how large a portion of the population actually believes this crap – and that we let them vote. There should be some kind of intelligence test and sanity test one must pass before being allowed to vote.
