California RSOL Meeting in LA, January 19 – Recap & Presentation

The January 19 meeting in Los Angeles saw the greatest turnout of registrants, family & friends and supporters to date. About 60+  attended the meeting, about half of whom were first-time participants!

As always, the meeting included topics such as on-going legislation, an update about recent organization activities, as well as questions and answers.

The highlight was a presentation by Alex Landon, an attorney, law professor and author of a book on the subject of registration laws. He shed some light and perspective on the evolution of these laws. Thanks to our video crew the talk can be viewed by all below.

Please take time to listen to this presentation by Alex Landon, who is a criminal defense attorney. The book he co-authored with journalist Elaine Halleck is full of important facts and gives the reader the big picture regarding sex offender laws and other “designer laws” which deny Americans their civil rights while failing to increase public safety.

Hi Janice; are you and Alex Landon the only attorney’s in California that have taken a stand on this just and worthy cause?

I attended the Los Angeles meeting and heard Alex Landon’s presentation. It was so gratifying to hear another voice of reason. I have now read Parallel Universe and visited the website, meganslawbook.com. I can only hope that other attorneys will follow in Alex Landon’s footsteps, presenting truthful, intelligent and realistic pictures of how the legal system, as it applies to sex offenders, became so broken.
Thank you Alex Landon and Ms.Halleck for speaking out and, of course, thank you Janice Belluci for all you do!

We only have to get people to not HEAR us but to ….. LISTEN to us, to reason.

Alex Landon is right, he is preaching to the choir. How do we get the message out to those that matter, the public, the legislators, and law enforcements groups?
Does he speak the them as well?

The Ignorance MUST be stopped. Too many people are put into prison under these charges so that their spouse can gain financially. As was the case with me, my now ex-wife and her boyfriend were awarded my house and EVERYTHING else I worked (since I was 10) all of my life for. My Judge was my cousins attorney two years prior when my now ex-wife filed similar charges against him. The deputy D.A. was my now ex-wife’s friend. The Judge (*** ***)my cousins attorney actually put my house in my now ex-wifes boyfriend’s name. I still pay taxes, still vote, yet do not have the same rights as those who do not vote and do not pay taxes!
