Trump has said he will bring back firing squads and group executions if re elected. Don’t think for one second that he won’t hesitate to ban travel for us and make every sex offense a lifetime registration with even more restrictions. The clock is ticking on what freedoms we have left.
I have decided to forego the remainder of my Ca. Registration (1.5 yrs) and move overseas. It screws up my schedule, but I simply don’t trust the political or legal processes anymore. They has let us down too many times to have any kind of faith in them.

Here is a scam alert:

Last Sat was my annual renewal. Yippee!! I did the required +/- five days of it w/o issue. Interesting thing is on Sat morning, I got a call from a local area code number from someone portraying a sheriff deputy giving me their direct line number and a request to return the call. Thanks to you all here, I was wise to it, especially since I don’t register with the sheriff to start with. Using the spy dialer website, I was able to see the number came from a county across the state through a VOIP system. Busted! I have not notified the sheriff given they wouldn’t give two cents about it and not returned the call as well. However, if I do return it at a later date, the scenario in return will be quite fun given some of the ideas I have read you all have here.

With the changes that the state could enact in the next several years concerning CASOMB proposed changes to the tiering system, where does a registrant go that lives in one of the counties in which the Public Defenders office does not provide support?

This could be a small step legislators could get behind. If passed on Federal level then maybe more states would follow.

Humane and just treatment of elderly and handicapped.

Revisions need to be made to SORNA, AWA, and IML to make the law reflect a more human and just treatment of the elderly, infirm, disabled, hospitalized, handicapped, Alzheimer, and the like.

Regardless if a person is required to register as a Tier I, II, or III level they may make application to be removed if they meet the following criteria.

1. Removal requests due to disability shall meet the following.
A. Have a permanent disabling infirmity that makes it impossible or difficult for them to properly maintain a registration, which may be, but not limited to Alzheimer, dementia, bed ridden, hospice care, or hospital confinement.
B. Or have a permanent confinement to a nursing home, metal institution, or hospital.
C. Have a certified letter from a registered medical professional that states the said person has this mental or physical disability that makes maintaining a registration an extreme hardship or near impossible requirement.

2. Removal request if a person has reached the age of 70 and meets the following requirements.
A. The person is a minimum of 70 years of age or older.
B. A minimum of 20 years has passed since the commission of the offense(s) that required their registration requirement with no new related felony charges.
C. Have successfully completed an approved sex offender program in any jurisdiction.
D. Have maintained a registry in good standing for the whole time they have been on the registry and have no outstanding related felony charges.

Is the United States of America & it’s Legislators so heartless & cruel they will force the elderly, infirm, disabled, hospitalized, handicapped, Alzheimer, or others with limiting factors to be force into facing prison or death/suicide. SORNA & AWA registry Tier system does not provide for many any other option for removal but death. If they are limited by abilities to register or miss a set date in most states they face felony charges & prison, with death as their only other option. Felony charges required under failure to register leave no options either.
While some states require electronic monitoring yet they allow termination at age sixty-five which does recognize that the elderly are low risk & provide for termination of electronic monitoring no such provision is in SORNA & AWA registry Tier system. For many death is the only option left or go to prison, suicide for many is the only way out left by the law.
You need to propose and sponsor changes in the law to address this problem. Remember the saying ‘Salus populi suprema lex esto’, Latin for “the welfare of the people shall be the supreme law” which indicates that a country should always put their people first, but is that only for a limited set of people while others are forced by the state to choose prison or death/suicide.

According to this Twitter post, China uses digital billboards and other displays to publicly shame men and women who have poor “social credit,” warning other Chinese people to avoid them. Anyone know more about this? With growing fear of similar systems being implemented the West (see the UK protests in Oxford, where protestors fear use of cameras to monitor people traveling in and out of the city), it could be advantageous for us to link the registry to “big brother” style government surveillance, shaming, and overreach. If there is an international resolution against this sort of public humiliation, it would be hard for the US to escape some condemnation.

Great points, Notorious I hope there continues to be pushback against bad laws that were meant to keep us safe, yet they infringe on our freedoms to snag a few bad guys i.e. Patriot Act. We seem to be going down the same path as China with facial recognition software which is not just restricted to airports. I could see local law enforcement expanding it’s use with the excuse of being able to catch “predators” hanging around parks and near schools. The public may give up a few liberties if l.e. frames it in terms of protecting children. But thank goodness some local jurisdictions have passed laws banning the use of facial recognition by law enforcement agencies. The pushback started here in Massachusetts with many towns banning the use of this software. Mass is the birthplace of the nation through overthrowing tyranny, so it’s not surprising that we pushed back. I wish some non blue states would do the same, before these invasive laws against privacy start spreading their tentacles in their state.

If I go to court and have 243.4(a) (FELONY) dropped to a misdemeanor, would this drop me into tier two? Was sentenced to county and successfully completed probation without issue.

well kidz this is it, Harvey W your uncle was sentenced to sixteen yrs and R Kelly had been added an additional year to his sentence for Reg in their respective State, NY and …? Not Cali. But they want even famous people to suffer worse than more severe crimes and MAKE A SHOWING of Them

“𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯, California-𝗦𝗕 𝟳𝟯𝟭 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀” I have a few questions: who will over see this, DOJ? The same agency that has not provide every SRO their Tier Assignments? And for those individuals that may qualify for “Automatic Sealing” how do we find out? Will we have to pay another expense for a “LiveScan” to see if our records are sealed or not? If they explain this under SB731; I am unable to find the information. Any suggestions? Thank you and good luck to all.

ACSOL, please take a look at some of the comments published on the DuPage County Sherriff’s Office (Illinois) “Safety Tips about Sex Offenders” web page:

Sex Offender Characteristics

  • Most offenders commit multiple crimes against multiple types of victims with whom they have varying types of relationships (adults, children, male, female, known and unknown). This behavior is known as “crossover”.
  • Sex offenders rarely commit just one type of offense. Many offenders have NO official criminal record or sex crime history of any kind.
  • There is no such thing as a “typical” sex offender; however, all tend to be manipulative, deceptive, and secretive. Sex offenders come from all backgrounds, ages, income levels, and professions.
  • Sexual deviancy often begins in adolescence.
  • Sex offenders usually do not commit their crimes impulsively. They usually carefully plan their crimes.

My question – if this is not backed up by 100% factual, verifiable data, is it legal for them to post it from a civil rights perspective? These comments are linked to their sex offender registry database so they are essentially commenting about everyone on that list. Illinois does have a reputation clause in their constitution. Is it worth notifying a civil rights attorney in IL?

The 5th circuit court of appeals ruled in a recent case that in Texas (and now LA and MS) it is legal for police to arrest and jail citizens for asserting one’s 1st amendment rights to criticize or question the government.

“In America, we don’t allow the police to arrest and jail our citizens for having the temerity to criticize or question the government,” judge Ho declared. It turns out, though, that we do—at least in the 5th Circuit.” This very far right federal judge who recognized the importance of the 1st amendment was overruled. This case related to something that happened at the local municipal level.

In another Texas case a journalist had an arrest warrant issued for her by a county DA in retaliation after the journalist criticized the DA for dropping charges on a relative. The supposed arrest warrant was for asking the police for information. This journalist sued and eventually lost in the 5th circuit court of appeals. After losing she appealed to the full 5th circuit who refused to hear her case. This same judge Ho was furious and wrote a scathing dissenting opinion when the 5th circuit court of appeals said it was ok for a citizen to be arrested for exerciing her 1st amendment right to criticize a government official for corruption.

The 5th has gone too far. The 1st amendment no longer applies in the 5th circuit.Don’t move to the 5th circuit. The 5th circuit court of appeals has already said it is ok for the government to not honor plea agreements.

And applies to the registry…

yesterday 2/24/23 A SO inmate at Delanio , was put in a cell with a serial killer who had no chance of parole , Who could have guessed what might happen , The SO was found dead at 9 am …

A minor teenager overdosed and died at a neighbor’s house last night. I don’t know the details, but seeing the grief in the family members in the street all day has been heart-wrenching. If our government truly wants to protect children and adolescents, the focus really has to be on drugs like fentanyl. Yes, sex crimes are serious. No, they aren’t “especially heinous” compared to most other felonies, and they aren’t killing our nation’s youth.

Well, at least one person got some retribution after 5 years!
Teacher arrested by police in riot gear over wrongful sex abuse claim by student is awarded $5m

You guys in California don’t know lucky y’all have it to have someone like Janice to go to the mat for you guys. Here in Texas these lawyers don’t want to fight for equal rights. Even though they know these made up on the fly ‘’law’’ ain’t right.

“U.S. Marshals Service suffers security breach.”I wonder if all out E-mails, logins, websites, passwords have been compromised.

U.S. Marshals Service suffers ‘major’ security breach that compromises sensitive information, senior law enforcement officials say

Is there a lawyer who will file a Class Action against the State of Michigan AG / County courts ?
The corruption in ” To catch a Predator ” stings is so very easy to demonstrate – they delete 97% of the laws and prosecute on 3% . The Felony Information is neither. Each unlawful arrest has about 25 grounds to sue for multiple millions / case. It’s a great day when justice is served on the corrupt justices / AGs.

I have seen no comments regarding the Sex offender , Juan Vallanuera , Who was put in a cell with Ramon Escabar, Who was serving life , for killing 7 , , Juan was found dead the next morning at the 9am check .
This happened on Feb 24th at the Northern Kern county prison .
It looks to me like Ramon , was simply the murder weapon, The officers who put them in the same cell were the murders.
