DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — As a professional MMA fighter, Dustin “Scrappy” Lampros spends most of his days training for the ring. But in his free time, he fights for those who can’t defend themselves: hunting down predators who prey on children.

One recent case involved Nicholas _____, 43, who was recently arrested for allegedly attempting to meet a minor for illicit purposes. The incident unfolded at a Walmart in Delray Beach.

“I have the time to go and do this. Also, I have the skill set to be able to control myself to do it. So, I figured you know, this was like the perfect opportunity to be able to help people and make some kind of impact,” Lampros said. “I know that the cops have their own thing that goes on but obviously it’s not enough if someone like myself is able to catch a different predator every day.”

As the face of 561PC (Predator Catcher), Lampros collaborates with organizations employing online decoys to identify potential threats. When suspects like _____ arrange to meet minors in person, Lampros steps in.

And i thought vigilantism was illegal what was that show to catch a predator are we really going back to that bullshit

” Normal ” people don’t pretend to be children to lure adults for clickbait.

“Look at me, protecting children!”

Of course, if he could make a half-decent living as an MMA fighter…

fights for those who can’t defend themselves”. So adults pretending to be children online can’t defend themselves?
The sooner YouTube stops monetizing these kind of videos, the sooner they’ll go away.
The general public has no business doing this. Look what recently happened in Pontiac Michigan.

” Scrappy” is just like Scrappy Doo fighting for you. A guy with too much time on his hands being a Justice Keyboard Warrior in the name of Street Justice. Sorry Scrappy and crew what your doing is a disaster waiting to happen.

I am in agreement that adults should not be acting sexually with minors who are under the age of consent. To that end, we have a legitimate public interest in prosecuting these offenses.

Where I take issue is with these “stings” causing age confusion in the mind of the adult by creating profiles on ADULT sites and giving conflicting age information throughout the course of their interactions. Look, if someone looks like an adult, is on an adult dating site, and indicates in their profile they are an adult, but then after getting emotionally involved with a target tries to insist that they are now an underage teen, how can anyone believe anything that person says? The “teen” is lying about something, but what exactly is a matter of confusion for the other party. Who is pushing the sexual agenda in these chats? Is it the adult or teen? Again, more confusion. With police conducting unethical stings like this, perversion of justice can only result.

My advice to anyone looking to find love online, following a relationship trajectory of waiting to have sex until marriage may be the best way to protect you from this kind of entrapment, and a whole host of other potential relationship, legal, and medical STD issues. Don’t settle for easy pleasure. It will cost you more in the end.

I’m extremely happy to report from Michigan that I have been removed from the registry. It took several months but it’s over

Good thing there is absolutely no way this ends up as a shoot out down at the Walmart, because this in no way is encouraging anyone to bring a gun to the hookup…not even in a “Right to carry” State.

There are several very good reasons why vigilantism is illegal, that’s just one of them.

it will be hilarious if he was found to be a perpetrator of sex crimes..
