would like information to help my son, who was sentenced under the one strike law for two counts of 288apc out of Riverside county 13 years,…we need help finding an attorney who is willing to help us file a writ to challenging how my son was unfairly sentenced and had ineffective legal counsel. I live in Corona, Ca and would be willing to attend meetings and help out in any way I can, I have hired many attorneys through out the years my son was incarcerated, they took my money then told me they could not help.
I write on behalf of my best friends son. 20 years old, mentally challenged, was arrested or Indecent Exposure almost two years ago. Placed in a Group Home after sentencing, had small issues with pot and alcohol. THIS WAS DEEMED A MISDEAMEANOR, he had a D.A. who was relentless in seeing that he be classified as RSO. He was masturbating in a car!! He did not rape, he did not do a snatch and grab, He did not commit a FELONY. He has now gone to live with his father in Flagstaff, AZ. Instead of cutting the kid a break, Flagstaff P.D. has decided to make this a “Cause Celebre”. They plastered the Community College he has now been forced to drop out of with notices with his pix on them. Where is the justice for this Kid?? What can he possibly do with the rest of his life, having this tag? Already fired from one job, which he was finally succeeding at. I will help with this in anyway I can, just tell me what to do!!
