AR: Sex Offenders, Experts Question Effectiveness of New Restrictions

LITTLE ROCK, AR – After serving their time, some sex offenders can be on another list for the rest of their lives. Convicted sex offenders are required to register with their local law enforcement office for at least 15 years, often much longer than that.

Now some registered sex offenders and their families are saying this branding is doing more harm than good. Full Article

I guess it’s still not obvious to the people in AR, as well as every other state, that these laws and restriction/oppression do not, never have and never will do anything to stop sex crimes. They do not work. Anyone that thinks they can legislate peace in any society by focusing on only one group is either showing their hypocrisy, or stupidity and foolishness. The politicians have recognized that keeping the sheeple in fear gains support for these career enhancing and mostly unconstitutional laws and most states need to keep feeding the revolving door of newly created criminals to justify the existence of their prison industrial complexes.
