Prof. Alan Dershowitz: “Harvard’s policy was written by people who think sexual assault is so heinous a crime that even innocence is not a defense.”

It’s a great quote, and it appears in this week’s Time Magazine in a story about the letter published last week in the Boston Globe signed by 28 Harvard law professors voicing strong objections to the school’s one-sided, feminist-inspired sexual misconduct policies.

But when Dershowitz continued and said that people accused of rape should have a full and fair opportunity to defend themselves, Time pooh-poohed it: “It’s a noble idea, but . . . .” Full Article

Well, Dershowitz seems to me to be right that these campus sex trial are just kangaroo courts, but I would extend the term somewhat more broadly. Sex trials are obviously the modern equivalent of witch hunts. I am very glad to see some push back on the issue of sex trials and sex offenses. I only wish that the great psychologist and disciple of Freud, Wilhelm Reich, were still alive today to lead the charge against the idiocy of America’s bizarre worries about sex.

Some years back, on CNN or some cable news network, and when the SOR laws were starting up nationwide, Alan said “Kill Them All” while referring to registrants.

I have never heard any backlash from this statement but it is worth noting what came out of this derch-bag’s mouth at the time.

Maybe nearly two decades later, he has had time to rethink his views but I have never forgotten the statement.

I guest one good thing this is that we will have more people at will be RSO and those are adversely effected by theses laws than not. This could force the masses into really about RSO laws and change it.

Professor Dershowitz statement is right on the money as are his words ‘…innocence is not a defense”……they very well could put that on flashing neon signs in that oc courthouse……the Professor’s words had might as well been talking about the scales of justice in orange county.
