On Thursday, Eyewitness News learned a registered sex offender delivers mail to neighborhoods in Wichita and Haysville. From what we have been able to gather from USPS, he will continue to be able to do so.
Earlier this week we told you the convicted sex offender would no longer deliver mail to two Haysville Schools. But people who live near the school were worried the offender would still deliver mail in their neighborhood.
“I understand the guy needs a job, there’s no denying that, but he doesn’t need to be in a neighborhood full of kids,” said Bob McKedy who filed a formal complaint with the United States Postal Service. Full Article
“He doesn’t need to be in a neighborhood full of kids.”
I imagine next law to be passed will ban registrants from delivering mail to children – especially if the children live in a park or school. They will only be allowed to deliver mail addressed to adults.
At some point, they will realize children go to church too, so registrants will be banned from going to church. And they won’t be able to buy any food either, because children are in the supermarket too.
So, it seems the Eyewitness news is now creating news instead of reporting it. And I am pretty sure there are kids everywhere. Are they now advocating lifetime sentences for all sex offenses since at some point they get out.
Sounds like a Witch Hunt in Wichita. Makes me sick!
Has anyone even asked how long ago the qualifying crime occurred? Does he have children of his own that he is trying to support? I hope Mr. Busybody gets arrested, tried and convicted of harassment and gets put on the registry as well.
Leave the poor guy alone. He has a job and is just trying to make ends meet. As a registered citizen, he probably feels like he is walking on eggshells every day; if he screws up, it is back to the slammer for one heck of a long visit. If he has the discipline to show up for work every day and get the job done, then he has enough discipline to avoid any further controversy.
” McKedy says he was told the postal service will hire sex offenders.”
This should encourage us to apply for federal jobs.

This man probably already worked for the postal service and later got some charge that makes him have to register. Its pretty likely he wouldnt have been hired if he already had the registration requirement.
Those people better be careful about what they do around that carrier.
there could also be state repercussions involved if they do (in addition to federal)
