Earlier this year, I talked to the press spokesperson for a state senator who was proposing a new ban targeting those on the state’s sex offender registry. I asked her about the purpose of the legislation–why focus on this group of ex-offenders? The question seemed to catch her off guard: “Oh! 20 years of solid data, but fear mongering reigns supreme. Will SCOTUS admit their wrong doings?

What is the percentage of re offenders for 75 year old guys that have been on the regerstery for 35 years and not reoffended ?

I think now is the time we flood her office with phone calls and send her office e-mails educating her on the issue. I have. Will you? Show her there is a unity and we will not allow another Runner to ride this wave.
