CT: Nursing home can continue to service sex offenders, Judge says

[floridaactioncommittee.org]

A Connecticut Superior Court Judge allowed a Rocky Hill Nursing Facility to remain open and servicing its patients, after the Town tried to shut it down, finding the fact that it provides care to prison parolees does not violate Rocky Hill’s zoning code.

The Hartford Courant reported that “neighbors testified during the trial in August that the presence of sex offenders had caused unease in the neighborhood and real estate professionals testified that the facility had caused property values in the neighborhood to go down.”

I’m getting to an age where this kind of thing concerns me. My solution is going to be to move to a location in the sticks, as far away from everyone else as I can, and live out my days in peace. My last days may number less than they would otherwise, but at least I won’t be the butt of city council machinations designed to ban me from enjoying any semblance of dignity in my final days.

The Hartford Courant reported that “neighbors testified during the trial in August that the presence of sex offenders had caused unease in the neighborhood and real estate professionals testified that the facility had caused property values in the neighborhood to go down.”

In what civilized or uncivilized part of this Planet is this not considered blatant BANISHMENT?

I fully feel this kind of threat on RC’s , as many of us when we get to where we cant take care of our self’s I truly do ! but some of the comment’s on this article are even more bothersome a call too arms by some ? wow really ? I understand the anger of course but I don’t think violence is our answer . I have to ask are any of these people thinking about their family members and our family members ? i understand we are being stocked and our familys could get hurt . and its worse for some than others but to a call to violence will only create more stockers . War is ugly and I never seen one that anyone’s innocent family came out well no matter what side your on . I Chose to not break the law and try to put a good thing out there about who I am Now . I refuse to be brought down to the level of our stockers . no matter what happens to me I want my family to be proud of who I am because I took responsibility for my actions at all cost . rather than dragging my family down with being a violent fool . I want my kids to be responsible and stand up . Live ! my wife loves me because I am not afraid to grow and go out of my way to do the right thing . all the same this registry needs to come down , it seems to be growing exponentially
