HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Sex offenders in Horry County could be banned from operating child-oriented businesses, under a new proposal.

The push comes after a local business owner and parent spoke to the Horry County County Council in September about a local sex offender who wanted to park his ice cream truck in the business owner’s lot and sell ice cream to children.

Adam Wiseman told county council that his neighbor suggested he should look up the ice cream truck’s owner.

Wiseman asked the council to come up with an ordinance that would ban sex offenders from owning or working at child-focused businesses.

Vigilance! You might lose your business if you don’t keep an eye on proposed city, county, and state laws! Show Up, Stand Up, and Speak Up about bad laws or you might lose your employment.

While I have a great deal of respect for the mentally impaired and their tough walk in life , Yet I have zero feeling for these idiotic fools that have nothing better to do than find ways to make PFR’s life harder in the name of fake safety ! these power freaks have no clue , just look at the “person” PFR with the Ice cream truck not only adding the services of ice cream being sold in the parking lot that could not only bring biz , but also an extra set of eyes , eyes that have a vested interest in not only the money but seeing to the safety , knowing if anything anything was to happen the cops would be looking at him/her, most people don’t truly watch , and most like these cowards would not bust a grape , also have to say the PFR was just being part of the business world and trying to better his life , not to mention Ice Cream Truck Sales can make a lot of money , depending on the time of year, gas prices ouch? just seems to me that this is in violation of his right to pursue happiness , same thing many PFRS pushed out ,

As a former sex offender, I would not have any business that service children to avoid the appearance of wrong intention.
