Controversial director Roman Polanski reunited with Samantha Geimer, the woman he pled guilty to having unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor more than 40 years ago.
Geimer was 13 years old at the time Polanski – who was in his 40s – was arrested and charged with rape by use of drugs, perversion, sodomy, providing controlled substances to a minor, and lewd and lascivious acts upon a child under 14.
Following his guilty plea in 1977, Polanski fled the country and became a fugitive, first finding refuge in London and then settling in France.
While Polanski has never stepped foot on U.S. soil or any country that would extradite him to the United States, he has still created films and won the Academy Award for best director in 2002 for “The Pianist.”
In the Instagram photo shared from Geimer’s private account to Polanski’s wife Emmanuelle Seigner’s profile, both Roman and Samantha smiled for the camera.
“Thank you Samantha,” Emmanuelle captioned the shot with a few heart emojis.
So, Roman Polanski’s “victim” continues to plead with everyone to let the whole thing go, and they won’t. She says, “The fact that we’ve made this [a big deal] weighs on me terribly. To have to constantly repeat that it wasn’t a big deal, it’s a terrible burden.”
Here she even says that the fact that they won’t let this go is a burden to her. She wants to forget it. She wants to move on. But the system won’t let her.
This is just so messed up!!!!
Just goes to show that sex laws can not be enforced in a black and white fashion. There needs to be rational common sense decision making from the decision to prosecute to the culpability of the labeled victim to the intent of the alleged defendant, and eventually to the application of a guilty verdict. Actual trauma and harm should never EVER be assumed by the courts (always absolutely in the worst possible manner) simply for the purpose of exacting a long prison sentence.
Children are resilient human beings. Here we see the “victim” not accepting the victim’s role others in society unreasonably demand of her. Her actions do not fit their narrative and agenda.
Ill bet mainstream media won’t cover this at all.
The victimites prescribe to seek resolution via the Courts and registries for profit, social, political and financial and not for justice nor peace. They advocate the victim as the hero survivor or a position to be admired and rewarded by tort. That is precisely why we see this garbage. Surely! she believed posting such would be socially profitable, else why put it on social media. I’ve always wondered how many lies have been told on social media? Incalculable…I suspect. She completely invented her AND her kids victimization. How does a women like that raise children at all? Talk about exploitation of children.
I know of another who did the same in the 1990s. And purely for her own personal alcoholic attention seeking reasons and for not her child’s welfare. She was far more successful however in promoting her delusions. She convinced a jury of my guilt when I was not. 3yrs.5mo.12days stolen by a delusional fabrication and a meltdown.
Polanski’s The Piano was a fine piece of work. He preceded the man from Florida who fled to Germany by many years.
Coincidentally, this past weekend, I reunited with my so-called “victim”, in person, at his invitation, after 20+ years. He and I have remained in contact all these years – even during my incarceration. But this was our first in person visit in 20 years.
To be clear, he has never considered himself to be a victim and has always insisted upon his own willing “agency”* in our relationship.
(*“Agency” is his preferred wording. [He was one year younger than the legal age of consent. And, for that, I’ve now been on the Registry for 20+ years. Ridiculous!! 🙄])
