The 2024 Conference for the Alliance for Constitutional Sex Offense Laws (ACSOL) will be held on Friday, September 20, and Saturday, September 21. The conference will begin both days at 9 a.m. (Pacific) and end about 5 p.m.
Conference signs up will begin in early July on this website.
“This year’s conference will be virtual in order to help registrants and their loved ones in every state,” stated ACSOL Executive Director Janice Bellucci.
One keynote speaker for the conference is attorney Molly Nixon of the Pacific Legal Foundation. She will provide an update regarding the pending challenge of the SORNA regulations filed in federal district court.
“The SORNA regulations are sweeping and could harm every registrant and every member of their families,” stated Bellucci. “For example, the regulations will require some people who are currently required to register annually to register four times a year.”
The conference will also feature a variety of panels and panelists who will address the important issues of housing, employment, travel and overcoming sex addictions. All conference presentations will be live and therefore conference attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of all speakers.
“During the conference, ACSOL will also discuss a third visit to the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court in order to protest the Court’s decision which wrongly decided that registration is not punishment,” stated Bellucci. “It is that decision that allows city, county, state and the federal government to pass new registration laws and apply them retroactively.”

Thank you, Janice. I will be participating this year and appreciate the time and effort you put forth to continue this annual conference.
And I cannot wait to join the protest on the steps of SCOTUS in March! I am hoping we have the biggest turnout ever with representation from many states!
I cannot convey the impact the in-person Conference had on me last year. In fact, when I returned home, I immediately changed my Beneficial Trust directions to include significant funds for ACSOL should my retirement outlive me, as it certainly will. The opportunity to connect on a visceral level, with emotions (and admonitions) was almost overwhelming in my truly personally emotional experience. While I’ll miss it, I won’t miss the drive into LA, though others had a much more involved transportation path.
What are some of the examples of crimes that will require people to register 4 times per year? And will it involve only people whose crimes crossed state lines or will all states be required to adopt the new regulations?
Is there a location for the conference? Just city would be enough to do some advanced travel planning. Thanks!
