I really need to stay In Colorado for 2 or 3 weeks BUT I can’t out of risk of being placed back into (SORNA ) international data system.
I called down there to see if I could petition for removal from California without stepping foot in Colorado BUT they said no I have to be a resident there and depending on you old conviction, you might have to register 15-20 or for life.
they also said they won’t know until I come down there.
Then they asked for my name and for my family’s address out there to see if I’m even allowed to live in that neighborhood because they have resident restrictions even if you’re not on parole.
I laughed and hung the phone. I bet they ran my phone number and traced it back to California after getting all worked up the hunt.
The stupid part about all this is I can visit out there for 14 days out of 1 calendar year which I don’t understand because, if a person was really this big threat to society I’m pretty sure they can do alot of damage in 14 days.
For those who follow the US Rep (R) from SC who is running for the SC Gov seat after being in Congress for two terms now, they seem to have a temper that is not afraid to be displayed at anytime or place according to what I am reading online, especially Charleston Airport. Why is that important for the forum? Has anyone, being on the registry, gone recently to disney land in Anaheim without having trouble going in? Just asking because I have a family member that works there and said that they recently have a facial recognition system and if your face or info pops up they red flag you and get turned away. Scrolling on Face book I came upon something disturbing. With AI exploding and all these AI chat sites opening I saw an advertisement on Facebook, it showed an AI generated image of what was clearly a child and it said you could create your own image, let your imagination go. Then it said because these aren’t real people 18 USC 2252A is exempt. So first off, for Zuckerberg to allow this he is has become the lowest of the low. Secondly, That was my charge and i went through he federal system and let me tell you, if they want to charge you they can and will. Thirdly, It may very well have been the feds just targeting my personal computer tempting me, I wouldn’t put it past them and I have experienced similar odd advertisement over the last 15 years. But if anyone comes across this I highly recommend don’t dabble with it. I know the feds can even pull and “intent” charge out of the hat and charge you for what you were thinking in a situation like this. So please be careful with this new AI it is a minefield..
I just heard that CA rep Scott Weiner, who helped us pass the Tiered registry law among other things is going to run against Nancy Pelosi for her congressional seat. … I hope Scott Weiner, who is a champion for our cause, will take it from her.

I rec’d my registration termination letter from DOJ today. The last sentence was particularly amusing.
”Be aware that your requirement to register may be reinstated if you are convicted of another sex offense in the future.” They have to take that parting shot to show who (they think) is in control. While I know this is a form letter, it still irks me that they put that as the last sentence. Couldn’t end on a more inspiring note, like “ we hope you have learned your lesson “ or “ hope to never hear from you again”.

AERO1 is a registry supporter, I say that because even after he got off the registry he stayed around to promote negativity and his love for Chris Hanson and he believes people with cases involving minors should all be lock up. Back in 2015 he told me I should be lined up in a Nazi style death squad for having a conviction of 311.11.
Got my letter on Tuesday from DOJ stating my removal from registry. I promptly went down to Visa Co. expedite my new passport on Thursday . Damn, has the fees for those increased in last 15 yrs. Maybe someone here can resolve my curiosity. I have been curious recently how no one was charged with a sex crime for participating in the emergency naked bike ride protest in Portland, OR. Personally, I believe none of these people should be charged with a sex crime. Being naked is not the same as forcing one’s self on another person, where the former does not harm anyone but the latter does, and the latter rightly so should be an offense. I read there is an annual naked bike ride.

On 29 December 2021 Ghislaine Noelle Marion Maxwell was convicted by a jury in US federal court on five sex trafficking-related counts carrying a potential custodial sentence of up to 65 years’ imprisonment. (She was sentenced to twenty years in prison.)
Does anyone know if Ms. Maxwell is listed on a sex registry? I was curious so did a search on the national registry but was unable to locate. I am thinking I did something wrong on the search?

A lot of depressing news these days so I am sharing an email I sent to someone at the National ACLU office. I got his email address because he sent me an email about free speech and was trying to get me to reinstate my monthly donation for their Guardians of Liberty membership.
Dear xxxx,
Thank you for this email and the work you do. I need to make you aware of blatant constitutional violations occurring in every state and at a National level. The ACLU turns its back and ignores what is going on, except for a few brave affiliates who dare to challenge, although often unsuccessfully because they don’t have the backing of the almighty National office. I’m talking about public sex offense registries and the restrictions piled on year after year causing homelessness, unemployment, violent attacks and lifetime punishment for 800,000 people forced to register in this country and their millions of family members.
Why the ACLU allows this, without so much as a statement about 1st, 8th, and 14th amendment violations et al, is a mystery to me and it is why I discontinued my ACLU membership.
Since this email is specifically about 1st amendment rights, I can tell you that my son, who committed a non-contact, non-violent offense at a young age, is sentenced to a lifetime punishment whereby the state and federal governments publicly list his name, address and other personal information on their registry websites with the label “predator” and he is forced to sign a document every year indicating he agrees with all this, or will be sent to prison. There was no evaluation of him at the time this label was assigned, nor will he be reevaluated in 10, 20, 40 years. The government has decided he must wear this label publicly on the internet for life. And yet you are silent.
In other states they list labels on drivers licenses. The federal government marks passports. Some law enforcement officers require signs put on people’s homes during Halloween. All compelled speech, cruel and unusual lifetime punishment with no equal protection. And yet you are silent.
Banishment zones created by residency restrictions have created thousands of homeless people who would otherwise have a home. And yet somehow this is ok, and you are silent.
People on the sex offense registry – some 40 years after their offense – are being sought out by strangers showing up at their home and killing them because the address is listed publicly. And yet you are silent.
When the ACLU finally applies its lofty ideals to all citizens and starts protecting all people by working to abolish these registries and their long list of collateral consequences, I will donate generously. Until then, all this is hypocrisy.

This is interesting and very applicable to the forum and, IMO, should be looked at in each state to see if they do this because too many people have caught FTR charges when they innocently forgot something and was not deliberately avoiding their responsibilities.

What does @ACSOL et al think about this? Is it something that should be advocated for nationally and locally? I’d think so because it makes the DA prove the mindset of the person in question.

Just occurred to me today that according to the beliefs of the federal administration I fall into the one of the most hated groups – a person who is forced to register and an anti-fascist because I believe in democracy vs fascism. I have now deceased relatives who risked their lives in WWII to fight against fascism and I consider them to be heroes, not people to be hated by the federal administration. Bad enough to have one label, but I have two labels…
Next year I am scheduled to not be in the person forced to register group, but I still will not be free like people who were never forced to register. My situational status should return to this latter group. But it will not. What happened to serve your time and move on and second chances? Maybe it has something to do with the so called christian love… I quite attending church while a pfr because of the so called christian love. People who have treated me best have been atheists.
