We will once again educate the legislators and staff about the need for revising the Tiered Registry Law to increase the number of people eligible to petition for removal from the registry. Every person who participates in Lobby Day will be a member of a team led by someone who has done this before. It is an empowering experience.
3/10/26 UPDATE: The good news is that more people have signed up for Lobby Day than expected. The bad news is that we cannot accommodate any additional people. Therefore, it is no longer possible to sign up for Lobby Day. If you are not yet signed up for Lobby Day 2026, we hope that you will join us for Lobby Day 2027.

I was paroled from California Prison in January of 2025. And im so excited to have the opportunity to attend this Lobby Day with my wife. Looking forward to it. Thank you Janice and all of the advocates that fight for just laws and for all the registrants.
I recently was at the Florida State Capital lobbying against a couple of draconian bills, HR-45 and SB-212. What other states dare to pass into law embolden other states to follow! I am glad to see ACSOL’s ongoing advocacy for justice and reason! I hope to join you. Chaplain Rob
I am planning to attend — this will be my first ACSOL meeting. I’m a 35-year-old woman in California, currently Tier 1, and eligible to petition for removal from the registry in 2034.
I’m interested in becoming more involved in advocacy efforts, particularly around disclosure policies affecting parents in educational settings. At this point, that remains the primary real-life restriction I experience following my conviction, and I believe there is room for thoughtful, balanced reform in this area.
Advocacy is honestly intimidating and scary for me. I have always hoped to remain anonymous and move forward quietly with my life. However, I’ve reached a point where I feel that working toward meaningful change is more important than my discomfort. If change is going to happen, it requires people willing to step forward.
With the assistance of attorney Chance Oberstein, I successfully petitioned for early termination of probation. I am also currently in the process of seeking a reduction of my felony to a misdemeanor and pursuing expungement.
I look forward to learning, connecting, and contributing where I can.
