“Michigan’s offender registry is open to the public, and that kind of widespread shaming hampers these individuals from getting jobs and rebuilding their lives.”

“widespread shaming”? Noooo, that absolutely cannot be….just ask SCOTUS and however many other wise courts across the land (that parrot SCOTUS because they must). There’s no shaming involved. Must be fake news.
In all honesty, it’s good to see the 2nd largest newspaper in Detroit (and Michigan) put out this editorial. Another step ahead, I say, as it makes people think…and getting a shift in public knowledge and opinion about this topic is our best chance at a lasting, permanent solution.
This is criminal. I am officially declaring the Michigan legislature as an enemy of the state and of the constitution. All legislative members I am declaring as criminals. We are obligated by the US constitution to defend it against all enemies foreign and domestic.
Not sure any of that will amount to anything but it sounds great! Freakin jack wads
Congress shall make no law ” Was in prison for” MANIFEST EVIL.
been doing it for decades
Will continue to increase affirmative restraint mostly ad hoc.
Facial recognition devices will do the same
We’re fucked! All of us.
Where is our voice, Where will it end? Some of us have been railroaded and our lives have been through hell! Where is the reform if we cannot conform?! There is a spirit against all of us that are honestly trying to start our lives and reconnect with loved ones after years of confinement, abuse, and punishment. I have been harrassed. I have had my life threatened. In and out of prison! When is this going to be seen to someone who will listen! Never! We have to have a voice. My life has been ruined by the state!! Not by anyone else!!! Ask around!!!! We are all devastated. What a gross injustice!!!
