ACSOL’s upcoming meeting in San Diego is as follows
Saturday, January 11
10 am
350 Cedar Street
Lecture Hall #2
San Diego, CA 92101
Registrants, friends and family and interested service providers are invited to attend these free meetings. There will be no law enforcement or media present in order to protect everyone’s privacy.
The meetings start at 10 am and last about 2-3 hours. Topics of conversation include information about ACSOL’s advocacy as well as current topics and pending legal action.
Please Show up, Stand up, and Speak up!
Hope to see you there!
I always leave these meetings with some good information and with a feeling that I am not alone on this journey. Unity and connecting are our strength. As our numbers approach 1,000,000 we
have the potential to become a considerable political entity, especially when we have Janice and company, and there are emerging others like her around the country. I hope registrants and their families make an effort to attend and support the meeting.
Thank you to Janice and all who put together today’s meeting in San Diego. It was filled with tons of info, tears, laughter, but mostly SUPPORT and HOPE. It’s a long fight, but hopefully one day we will see a registration system that makes sense if a registry exists at all. Personally, I hope to see fairness in this system. For me, the same judge that sentenced me to life on the registry for a non physical/no contact cp charge, Superior Court Judge DANIEL B. GOLDSTEIN, last month ruled NOT TO REQUIRE a San Diego Sheriff officer accused of sexual misconduct with at least 16 women, while in uniform, to register. While I’m upset at this judge for not requiring this officer to register while he required me to, it gives me hope that the victim’s reasoning for not wanting him to have to register was so that his wife and children would not have to deal with the consequences of him being on the registry. What about the rest of us though? WHAT ABOUT OUR FAMILIES??? SHOW UP! STAND UP! SPEAK UP!
I heard there is a meeting in LA on Feb 8th, can anyone confirm? I can’t find it on the site.
Thx
