NASHVILLE, Tenn.–A bill before committee in the Tennessee General Assembly would prevent a person from being seen as a sex offender if they perform “an excretory function” in public.
HB 2079/SB 2822 is sponsored by Rep. Jason Powell (D-Nashville) and Sen. Raumesh Akbari (D-Memphis) in their respective houses.
Under the bill, the offense of indecent exposure would not include excretion in public as given the intent was not criminal.
And we needed a bill to decide that these human bodily functions shouldn’t be register-able offenses?
Maybe we should have a look-see at all the other human foibles, mistakes and faux pas’, that shouldn’t be register-able offenses.
This is good to hear. I believe Arizona still has a law in place for public urination. (Tempe City Code Sec. 22-13) among others.
I did mention this law is a very sarcastic, lighthearted video. Not really sure what people are going to think about this. I’m really putting myself out there. The fear seems to have disappeared.

So they pass a bill that keeps you off the hit list for relieving yourself in public, and then another bill allows college students to pack heat on campus. Why bother with the urinating in public bill because drunk colleges students with guns can just shoot the drunk college students peeing in public. Gotta love Tennessee. And I thought my state was f uped
