A World War Two veteran has avoided jail for sexually assaulting five women because of fears he may catch coronavirus in prison.
Richard ____, 97, walked free from court despite “passing the custody threshold” and was instead given a 16 month sentence, suspended for two years.
He was also put on the sex offenders register for ten years.
Okay, so tell me again that Much of sex offender prosecutions and registrations are not based on emotion and hysteria.
(Or in this case, the reverse – which still proves the argument: “Oh, he’s too old to be dangerous, so we won’t lock him up.”)
Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad he’s not getting locked up. But if it were 30-year-old guy, they’d be locking him up for 25-to-life – again proving these prosecutions revolve around emotions and hysteria. 🙄😩
