FL: Gov. Rick Scott signs sexual predator laws

Gov. Rick Scott signed four landmark bills Tuesday designed to better protect children in Florida from sexual predator.

“Today I am proud to sign this legislation for all the children who have been terribly affected,” he said. “I hope these measures and the awareness that we are bringing today will make a difference for generations to come.” Full Article

Rick Scott has no choice but to sign those laws. 2014 is a Florida election year and he is running against former Florida governor Charlie Crist – who is backed up by Obama’s former campaign management. These laws are politically motivated and have nothing to do with protecting kids or anyone but their own careers. Keep on passing useless laws, it will not stop anyone from committing more crimes if they want to. Common sense died a long time ago in Floriduh.

Yet another politician using driving up baseless fears. And yet another example why victim parents should NOT MAKE laws that don’t work and also demonize and harm more children who are RSO’s or who are children of RSO’s. Lets look at the people who renounced the effectiveness of bad laws, such as the three strikes law and Megan’s law and take good hint from these people.
