It is interesting to note that registrant Harold Snider was arrested for domestic violence, which is a terrible crime, but is not a sex-related offense. When will law enforcement and the media get this straight? The recidivism rate for registrants is very low, only 5.3 percent according to the U.S. Department of Justice. That means that almost 95 percent of registrants do not commit another sex-related offense.
