AL: Student facing charges for streaking at football game dead of apparent suicide

HARVEST, Alabama – The Sparkman High School community is mourning one of their own after a student apparently took his own life.

____ ____, 15, hanged himself Wednesday and died this morning from his injuries, Madison County Coroner Craig Whisenant said today. ____ death came less than a week after he was arrested for streaking across the Sparkman High football field during the Senators’ Sept. 27 football game against Grissom High School. Full Article

I hate to sound emotionally callus to the lost of a kid… but has the laws and after effect punishments this maybe the way to go… There is no getting out of it in court and the after effects of the actions are a life time and unforgiving and they get worse daily.. in short a living hell where the temperature is increasing everyday..

This clearly illustrates the utter stupidity that the USA has sunk to. What was once a simple and innocent prank / right of passage has become a felony with a life long punishment.

My god people..how did we get to this point? When did the country go insane? Not all at once but slowly and bit by bit and yes, it is continuing and getting worse.

Don’t want to be a Debbie downer but we are all on this list for life and we can dream all we want but nothing is going to change.

What is so offensive about a kid doing what kids do? I remember in the 70s when streaking became popular. I would go to outdoor concerts and see dozens of people streaking in ALL age groups and both genders. those were the days; nobody was trained to be offended by human sexuality back then. I believe it was harmless then and I believe it is harmless now. Are the hypocrites going to go after people at clothing optional beaches and clubs next? I’ve asked this before and I ask again; where is the data that proves these laws protect children? At this point in time there should be entire libraries full of proof but there isn’t. These people make all sorts of claims with out any kind of proof to back up their claims.
