Another city council scared sensible by the threat of a Frank & Janice lawsuit!
Cheers for Frank’s courage and Janice’s tenacity!
Cheers for Justice!!
Thanks Janice and Frank.
This child safety zone laws are not needed. I whom have had child rated offense do not have any desire to hang at anyplace where there is a bunch of kids. The only time I ever, go to the park is when my church has gathering, other wise I do not go the park. All RC that ever had SO treatment knows that they are to void kid hang outs and most RC obey. The sickos that are going stalk kids are going do it and do not care if there is a law, against it.
The sick ones are more likely to do dastardly deeds in the dark allies where the Megan’s laws, especially Jessica’s law has pushed them. I sometimes wonder if people make these laws to enable those unstable people to commit another crime, just so there can be another law born out of fear. Sounds crazy, but as another has posted, we appear to be in Alice in Wonderland or, more appropriately, AIW crossed with “Sin City”.
Awesome!!Another one bites the dust.
Another great victory for us all thanks to Frank and Janice and staff. I realy think that any city or county or state that create such laws should also be sued for monetary damages caused by denying access to tax paying citizens from public places since we all paid for such places. Just another angle that I think is a legitimate issue that could be pursued to prevent or stop these type of laws in the future.
The council discussed the matter from 7:15-7:30. Repeal passed unanimously. There was no mention of attorneys fees.
The settlement agreement includes payment of attorneys fess in a modest amount that will allow us to finish the task of ridding the state of California of presence restrictions passed by cities and counties.
The ignorant comment continue in the online comments section of the actual article.
From what I gather, from those comments, ALL people see, in their mind’s eye” when they hear “sex offender”, is some wild eyed troll jumping out of the bushes and dragging little Mary or Johnny off to their cave to have their way with them.
That is all they see and all they care to see.
They have no clue that there is a wide Varity of offenses that can someone put on the registry that do not involve attacking children or anyone else for that matter.
Very frustrating.
